No, it's not a different subject. NAFTA preceeds FTAA. Plans are for Hemispheric trade in the "Americas". The people in Venezuela are against NAFTA. I recall hearing that NAFTA was a first step of our responding to the dreaded Eurpean Union [back then called the European Common Market]. So far, the EU is "Peeyoo".
