I will say this for WorldNetDaily.com - they don't just air one side of the story. And when they get angry mail, they post it. I'm curious as to what you think of these particular responses. Many thanks.

....Congratulations on your great splash into Yellow Dog Journalism.....
This I think is a journalitic slur from a Yellow Streak Leftist who fails to grasp the terms.
Yellow Dog refers to democRat who would vote for a yellow dog before deserting the Democrat party.
On the other hand, Blue Dog Democrat refers to more reasonably minded souls who allow reason to control over ideology and vote against the party line.
A Yellow Streak Democrat is one who fears confrontation and would reather die in his home than defend his faith with force. He wears a strip of yellow "CAUTION" tape stapled to his collar and displayed on his back.

Patty Murray wasn't praising bin laden,
I disagree with this writer above, because, in fact, she was praising bin laden. Her remarks were not questions but statements she alleged to be complete facts. She made him sound like a terrific leader -- and, made us in the USA seem like a bunch of jerks for failing to acknowledge him in all his glory.

fomenting at the mouth This one deserves to enter the lexicon. It would have been a good line, it it was intended as humor. This jerk was prolly series.

I'm curious as to what you think of these particular responses. What strikes me is the complete hypocrisy. I couldn't help but think of Sen. Lott and how his comments have been twisted and pasted and posted and replayed over and over and over again, and yet the same sort of folks who wrote in to defend Patty wouldn't dream of defending Lott with the same rhetoric. It's amusing to read their comments with the insertion of Lott's name wherever Murray's name appears. For example:
The way which you twisted HIS words into something they never were would make even the greatest liar that ever lived blush.
I think it is quite unfair to add your twisting of what HE stated.
Wow, you've got a new story an hour, it seems, about Sen. LOTT. How about just giving up and getting some common sense? You are wasting your time HE's not going to resign, and the news isn't going to pick this story up.
TRENT LOTT wasn't praising STROM'S SEGREGATIONISM, HE was trying to BLESS A 100 YEAR OLD MAN WHO SERVED HIS COUNTRY....Trying to kill that message and force HIM to step down is ignorant, foolhardy and dangerous.
See what I mean?
WorldNetDaily is as big of a JOKE as Patty Murray. And almost as much of embarrassment to conservatives as Murray **should be** to liberals.
To: DocFarmer
A bunch of bitching liberals are angry because their person was caught this time. It hurt their little self-esteems.
It's probably just one small group of waco's pretending to speak for the world. I'd ignore them, and ask for Murry's resignation anyway.

I find it deplorable and scary that we cannot dialogue lie to young children in tax payer funded schools about America and its enemies
in this country without intense scrutinyI bet you do, leftie, I just bet you do...
Interesting, isn't it, that slandering America to our youth (and doing so intentionally, for Murray damn well knows what we spend on foreign development aid) and praising mass murderers is "dialogue," whereas public exposure of same by journalists and commentators consitutes "intense scrutiny" and even "threats of violence".

My thought is that these letters are pretty dorky.
These people seem to forget that Murray wasn't "dialoging" with the nation or with her peers; she was speaking to a group of high school kids. She ever intended for her comments to go public in a broader sense. In fact, she never would have said what she said if she had known that word if it was going to get around. The idea that she was doing something noble -- going before the public and asking the hard questions (so brave!) -- is pure bunk. She was out poisoning the water and got caught.

Not Bad!!!!!!, 4 letters of support and 1.2 mmillion of condemnation. I guess Patty Murray figures she is vindicated

The way which you twisted her words into something they never were would make even the greatest liar that ever lived blush. Gary should not have referenced Bill Clinton in his response. (greatest liar who ever lived).
It's odd that Gary didn't discuss the twisting and stretching of Trent Lott's words..........

What strikes me is the total lack of substance. Not one of them made a relevant point. The last writer above almost got there but fizzled out.
"We're making enemies on an almost daily basis, many of our strong friends are now lukewarm at best besides the ever loyal British most of our allies are allies because of a combination of money and coercion."
Really? List them. Give examples. Demonstrate that they are truly our allies and not just complacent weak-kneed governments content to let the U.S. keep world order while at the same time loathing us for it.
"Our attitude and policies are allowing bin Laden and other leading Islamists to keep millions of people fomenting at the mouth dreaming of destroying us."
Yes! True, my feeble-minded little tick turd. Our attitude is one of defiance, that we will not let wannabe dictators bully us or our friends around. The absense of our attitude and policies would spark the immediate and total destruction of Israel, Kuwait, and others. And saddest of all, you and your kind would be the first to start whining about how Bush and the Republicans failed to protect such people while silently assuring yourself that it was all well deserved. I, for one, welcome bin Laden's and the other leading Islamists' (terroists) loathing, for it tells me on a daily basis that I am on the side of God and right. What a proud people you must be.

Sen. Murray cares more about this country than you could, or ever have on your best day. Patty "the other white meat" Murray:
Seattle Weekly Article
THE ONETIME reformist mom in tennis shoes can bring home the bacon. Strewn amid $190 million in new federal transportation spending for Washington (three times last year's appropriations), U.S. Sen. Patty Murray (D-Wash.) found $3 million for the Odyssey Maritime Museum, a waterfront attraction that's not exactly a cure for Seattle gridlock. There's also $4 million for a Bainbridge-Seattle ferry "dolphin replacement project," $475,000 for an "adverse weather operation" in Yakima County, and $200,000 for a "trucker congestion notification system" in Tacoma. She also planted $4.6 million in prime transportation fat for a local shipyard to test and evaluate an already-developed patrol boat for the Coast Guard.
More impressively, the senior senator speared a mammoth slab of the other white meat for Boeing, a $20 billion Air Force lease agreement for 100 aerial- refueling jets that Murray tucked into the new $318 billion defense-spending bill. With an assist in the House by veteran porker Norm Dicks (D-Wash.), Murray's leasing and other funding feats were remarkable not only for their old-boy fat content but for the political and media fallout.

i find the Murray situation and lack of outrage compared to the response (or lack thereof) to the murders of the missionaries yesterday amazing. Murry apologizes for bin laden and of course the left apologizes for her. bin laden and others convert people with knives and AK 47's.
then there is the missionay killings, and people apologize again for the killer because the missionaries were in another counry trying to convert people - even though the missionaries main tasks there was one of healing, with conversion secondary and peacefully.
people overlook the missionaries roles as doctors, but praise bin ladens role of building hospitals.
hurts my head trying to figure it out
