We can go on and on about this and nobody's going to give in, but how can you be sure the Church Fathers have it right? We all need to be very discerning about teachings, even if they're from Church Fathers.

We cannot be absolutely sure about anything that any human has to say, correct? Even ourselves.

However, when one reads the Church Fathers and sees that the Church has been consistent in its interpretations for almost 2000 years, then that gives us a good indication that they are teaching the truth.

We all need to be very discerning about teachings, even if they're from Church Fathers.
