South Africa's genetically-modified crops also feed starving Zimbabweans:
Aug 8, 2002 -- A Dutch anti-GM food activist --Regien van der Sijp, director of a Harare-based anti-gencrop organisation -- today attacked only the United States for the "unethical dumping of gentech food aid in Southern Africa."
However, Van der Sijp somehow completely overlooked the fact that most of the present gentech food aid now being shipped directly to famine-stricken regions come from previously disadvantaged farmers inside South Africa -- who for the past three-four years have been growing gen-tech crops such as mais, soy, cotton and other cropsand marketing them in huge quantities with the direct approval of the South African government.:

Dear Adriana,
TITLE: The death of Dr Cecilia Smit.
It concerns me that your farm murder informant is so often wrong, with the information which he/she supplies to you. I've seen several instances lately, where residential properties are being referred to as smallholdings, or agricultural properties. This means that the informant is up to mischief, or the informant knowledge of the area is seriously flawed.
To maintain integrity it is important that we publish the truth, and only the truth, nothing else, but the truth.
Cecile worked for us for several years. During this time she was not employed as a farmer, but as an IT specialist. Her official title was: "Business Process Analyst".
Cecile was murdered in the street outside her home in Ferndale, Randburg. Her home was in a secure townhouse complex. She was transferring garden rubbish (in plastic bags) to her car, when she was murdered. Her friend, Dr. Clive Chappell, survived the attack.
Apart from the schools, churches, boy/girl scouts halls, sportsclubs, parks, etc; Ferndale properties are zoned for business and residential rights. There are NO agricultural smallholdings, or farms, in Ferndale, Randburg.
Further details of Ceciel's murder can be obtained via the link below... http://www.msnusers.com/crimebustersofsouthafrica/murders.msnw?action=get_message&mview=0&ID_Message=1271&LastModified=4675401781151566678
RIP Cecile.
Regards,
Keith Knott.

Dr Cecilia Maria Smit funeral arrangements...
Dear Family and Friends,
Thanks for all the calls and support so far. It has meant a lot to us as we struggle through the pain of understanding and accepting the difficult circumstances.
Our mother, Cecilia Maria Smit, will be buried on Tuesday, 24 December 2002 at 10h00 at Wespark Cemetery on Beyers Naude in Montgomery Park.
The burial will be followed by a memorial service at 11h00 in the Linden Gereformeerde Kerk, cnr 3rd Ave and 7th Street, Linden.
Regards
Johan, Eugene and Ilse
PS: We ask that instead of sending flowers to the funeral, you rather make a donation to the Raptor Rehabilitation Centre. We believe that, as a bird lover, our mother would have preferred donating money to this more lasting cause.
Bank Details of Trust Fund for above rehabilitation centre:
Account Name: Bateleur Eagle Trust Fund

Hùge farm attack death rate led to murder of woodgatherer: http://www.news24.com/News24/South_Africa/Gauteng/0,1113,2-7-829_1280825,00.html The high incidence of deadly farm attacks in Bronkhorstspruit by young African males had created such an overwhelming fear of all unknown Africans that this fear had led to the murder of a tresspassing African wood-gatherer on a farm there last year.Psychologist Jacobus Francois Truter testified that 23-year-old farmer Jan Vermeulen had worked and lived in great fear on his farm and had been very security-conscious and terrified for the safety of his family due to the huge number of violence-driven stock thefts and 33 farm murders that year in the Bronkhorstspruit area, which all had been carried out by young African males.
Vermeulen pleaded guilty to a charge of murdering wood-gatherers Simon Makhabitshane and assaulting Joseph Nkosi on his father's farm at Leeufontein.
The psychologist told the Pretoria High Court that Vermeulen had been become terrified for his family, and very security-conscious due to the 33 deadly farm attacks which had occurred that year -- and all of which had been carried out by young African males.
The psychologist said Vermeulen therefore, and accurately, "saw black people as being responsible for farm murders and stock thefts". Vermeulen also suspected that strangers who were gathering wood could well be carrying out reconnaissance of the farm to plan future crimes. Farm security experts often warn farmers to be on the lookout for such strangers.
Truter said Vermeulen had shown remorse for his action - and is also deeply concerned about the fate of his elderly parents, who had received death threats and would probably lose ownership of the farm.
Vermeulen had also written letters to the victims -- Nkosi and Makhabitshane's families -- begging forgiveness.
He said Vermeulen was not an inherently violent person and had not been poli

Dear Adriana,
If Prof. Moolman does indeed categorise attacks on residential properties as 'Farm Attacks' or 'Attacks on Smallholdings' then we will have to seriously reconsider relying on his information.
Categorise, these attacks as 'Terrorist' but, as 'Farm Attacks' or 'Attacks on Smallholdings' is not acceptable and never will be.
It is called disinformation.

"KILL THE BOER KILL THE FARMER" is not considered to be hate-speech and is not considered to incite violence in South Africa?
What a joke, our Human Rights Commission has become.
Imagine, extending this disgusting hate-speech slogan to include other ethnic groups, or even foreigners ie; "KILL THE FOREIGNER KILL THE TOURIST", or "KILL THE REFUGEE KILL THE NIGERIANS", or "KILL THE XHOSA KILL THE ZULU"?
The ruling by our Human Rights Commission boggles my mind.
This is a plea to everyone who abhors hate-speech to raise their voices in protest. Let the world know that the lunatics are now running South Africa. Also, write to your politician and write to the president and the rest of the cabinet.
This HRC ruling must be overturned!
Regards,
Keith Knott.
