Big one U.S. intelligence officials say there are signs terrorists are planning a major attack during the holiday season. But the signs are not specific enough to issue a warning to the public. Increased chatter among terrorist groups associated with the al Qaeda network has been a common indicator in the past. Intelligence agencies have been picking up signals since early December from terrorist suspects indicating that an attack is being planned. "They are talking about 'the big one,'" an intelligence official tells us. U.S. government public warnings about terrorism over the Christmas and New Year's holiday have been limited to overseas-travel advisories. The latest intelligence says a major terror attack could be carried out in the United States, the officials said. The FBI warned this week that terrorists may attempt to blow up an airliner using explosives-laden shoes, similar to the attempt a year ago by accused shoe-bomb suspect Richard C. Reid. CIA Director George J. Tenet said in a recent speech that the al Qaeda network is preparing terrorist attacks. He noted that recent taped messages by al Qaeda leaders were "unprecedented in their bluntness and urgency."

We already saw "The Count of Monte Cristo" and I agree it was a good movie.

If the attack is during the fiesta bowl and the game isn't finished and Oklahoma wins the rose bowl is it possible that the Sooners can regain the #1 spot? (just looking for a silver lining);) Hmm... Oddly inapproriate thinking.

through the crows easily.
Those are pigeons dude !
Heh, I meant "crowds" but saying that they couldn't get through a flock of pigeons is apt at times.

Your post troubles me.
Do you work in a store that has "limits" on the quantity purchased? How can you see that he goes outside and changes his appearance before he comes back inside to purchase more?
Does he pay with cash? AND is there a security camera that has customers on tape?

and you are waiting for what exactly? can't think of any reason for him to do this.
To: spectre
He pays with cash, and there are no limits on what you can buy unless its on sale. He doesn't buy anything on sale.
He changes his appearance and comes back in 5 minutes later.
To: ConservativeMan55
Do you have a time-table of when he comes in? This is important, so when you contact the authorities, they can at the least, station themselves outside and ask the gentleman WHY he is changing his appearance.
It's a weird situation, and I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt you aren't putting us on...:~)

PS..he could just go to another "cashier" and not bother changing his appearance or to tip you when he does. He trusts you.

I wouldn't want the authorities to waste their time on this man if he works for a convience stand or something, and is just buying for it. He comes in once every 2 weeks.

I'm not a cashier. I sack the groceries.
To: ConservativeMan55
Well, your friendly neighborhood FBI should be quite interested. Go for it.

Has anyone here made notice of the similarities? 19 Terrorists on 9-11. 19 potential terrorists cross the Canadian border. 19 is the number always used by Louis "ScrewyLewie" Farrakhan. Hmmm...maybe January 9 (1-9) is the day to be on alert?
Better go check out

Sounds to me like he's building a soda-pop/CO2 bomb. Better turn him in.
Does he look like the bomber in the movie 'Car Wash'?

"Times Square New Years eve is a possibility"Thanks a lot you guys. My 21 year old daughter is in Times Square (well, in a hotel across the street) with a bunch of friends from college. This was our pre-graduation-from-college-with-HONORS gift to her. Something she has ALWAYS dreamed about. Yes, we were very concerned for her safety but she had a point that if we let the terrorists intimidate us into drastic changes of lifestyle...well, they win anyway.
STILL, I have the bone weary concern of a father who knows the world is far more unforgiving and deadly than starry eyed idealism and youthful enthusiasm can comprehend.
