No, he was put at ABC to defend the Clintons. The cover story was he left on bad terms. I am sure the Clintons pop the bottles when he took over the Sunday show.
I don't know about that, but the guy is certainly no fool. Supposedly he NEVER closed his office door in the White House because he didn't want to expose himself to potential lawsuits related to sexual harassment, etc.
