Good Morning, Fine FReepers! It's almost next year, which means that today's almost last year. Hope you have all had a marvelous Christmas Holiday - one more week and things should return to normal. :)
Am including John Huang's Ping List to read his wonderful new essay.

Altough Bush is my top pick for US Person of the Year, but Pim Fortuyn (the murdered Dutch politician) is my Person of the Year 2002.

To: George W. Bush; JohnHuang2
"Bush doesn't just react to events, he leverages his vigorous and forceful command of the stage to frame issues and shape opinion with almost unheard of alacrity, leaving foes befuddled and frustrated. Undergirding the dynamism and vigor, the energy and spirit he brings to the presidency is a trust and respect, a bonding and public affection for George W. Bush almost unique in its dimensions. This President -- confident, unflinching, assertive, impassioned, tenacious -- keeps making history, raising the bar on presidential performance standards, building a mighty legacy future historians will marvel over for years. When America speaks, thanks to the leadership of George W. Bush, the world, whether it likes it or not, now listens." Heck, Dubyuh, if I didn't know better I'd say JH2 thinks yer doin' A-OK!!

Good morning everybody. It's raining here in central Ohio and all our beautiful snow is melting away. Atleast we had a VERY WHITE Christmas.
Great essay John. I know this has been brought up on other posts BUT what about Linda Tripp??? She was (and still is) being vilified for "whistle blowing" and all she was trying to do was protect herself and her friend. Sheeze....

So Time magazine is continuing their relentless quest to be irrelevant and unread.
