"That's a lie..."

Oh, yeah? Kalifornia refuses to allow social workers and welfare administator to ask if a person is an illegal. I know for a fact that a number of illegals in Colorado get welfare and food stamps. My wife is an adult protection worker and she sees this daily.

So, go blow it out your ass, ya pro-illegal dirtbag!

I see in the paper where Idaho, I think it is, is continuing the extension anyway in anticipation of Congress passing it. Washington State advises to keep filing with them in the likelihood the extension is revived. It sounds like chances are good.

800,000 JOBLESS AMERICANS to LOSE AID,

GOOD!!!

I don't have a degree in anything and can't hardly spell a word beyond my own name and have been fortunate enough not to have had to work most of my life. On several occasions, I've gone flat busted and had to get a job. This is how I did it; got a plastic hardhat(cheap), water jug(empty gal. plastic milk jug),work gloves(about 5.00). Drive around looking for a bunch of men doing bust ass labor,(construction sites, logging, mining and the like).Ask who's boss and tell them you're ready and able to work at whatever comes up. You will be surprised at how fast you'll be hired. Hint, if they ask you to fill out an application, your at the wrong place, look for another bunch. I once got a ten-dollar an hour job this way, 60 hr per week, twenty hours paid at time and a-half, and under the table(no taxes!)

Glad you got a job and hope it holds up for you. I'm replying to you because of your pride in being a Clamper, those red shirts must be made of better stuff down where you come from as I know a bunch of them, up here in the woods, and most of them you need a blastig cap to blow their ass off the bar stool.

Fifty-one is young, if you ever get laid off again you may want to try it my way. Life can be an adventure if you want it to be.

One of Iowa's US Senators - Grassley, who's taking over the chair of I think the Budget Committee, was on the radio saying it's one of the first things they do Jan 6th - they pretty much have to do it, or the Demcrats will demogogue it to death for the next two years.

I know people who didn't come here legally also ---they do collect welfare benefits of all kinds but they do that by having a US citizen baby ---the baby can receive any number of welfare programs and the parents can "share" what it brings in ---TANF, food stamps, WIC, Medicaid, free breakfast and lunch at Head Start once it's 3 with no cuts on the other benefits. The other way is use a stolen Social Security card ---they're well worth the cost to buy them.

I can start drawing social security in less than two years. Training of any benefit wouldn't even be over by then. What's the point?

Well one point is that social security won't begin to cover your expenses for the next 30 to 40 years of your life. Think about that statement for a second, there was a time were the SS program paid out a period of 4 to 6 years for the average entitlee. Now with young seniors - that's a term that's actually being used now - the average is up to 17 years (based on expected life span statistics, do a google search you'll find the information).

Meanwhile, and I know how this sounds, the experience and knowledge of our seniors is being frittered away when it could be used to make us - the U.S. - more competitive.

I know of a woman who had been illegal, was caught in Medicaid fraud ---using someone else's card for her free health care, she got in on the 80's amnesty and a year ago was caught shoplifting ---they found 4 separate ID's on her, they investigated and found she was collecting welfare on all four in 3 different states. You cannot honestly say welfare fraud never happens and in this case it was done by someone who never went to school or spoke English.

My husband worked in San Diego as a welfare fraud writer... and I typed the reports that investigators referred to the DA for prosecution... I know only too well that it exists... They caught the woman right? Was she ordered to pay it back or deported?

Are you saying we shouldn't have any of these programs at all even for US citizens?

Is it always customary for you to go throwing around baseless allegations to anonymous posters on FR?

Really? I write software for various welfare programs. There are no such checks.

"Basless"? It is well known fact that illegals obtain welfare and you state that such knowledge is a lie? Your sttement is pure propaganda, and I am sick of people like you who cover for the illegals who rob this country.

Yes they caught her ---first she tried to get her family to help post bail but they'd washed their hands of her pretty much by this, then she decided to sell some land she had in someone else's name, posted bail and jumped, now she's back in Mexico and can't get back even to visit her family. She probably could -- but she's afraid of prison so isn't trying.

If they get it... they get in error... they are called overpayments and the people who get them are sometimes eventually caught and ordered to pay it back... it is considered illegal criminal activity...

Social workers are also forbidden to even ask if a person is an illegal. They are also, in Colorado, forbidden from making INS reports of known illegals. I know by name and face illegals who are receiving welfare. Not their American born child, the anchor babies, but the women receive housing and food stamps for the Mexican born children. Don't even try to spout your propaganda that illegals don't suck up welfare. Hell, next thing we know you'll be telling us what a great contribution they make to the American society and that we Americans should be ashamed to be us!
