A fox hunt in England. Queen Elizabeth II has reportedly ordered Prince Charles to give up hunting

Queen Elizabeth II has reportedly ordered her son and heir to the throne Prince Charles to give up hunting, which is opposed by a majority of British people and members of parliament.

"The Queen believes that continuing to hunt when the majority of MPs and the nation at large abhor it, is a step too far," the Daily Mirror Friday quoted a a senior courtier as saying.

"It would be out of the question, of course, for Charles to continue hunting if a total ban is introduced," the source went on.

"But the Queen believes that even if there is only a partial ban, Charles would court disaster for his future reputation if he over-rode the will of the people."

Charles, his sons William and Harry and his companion Camilla Parker Bowles regularly go hunting near Highgrove, the prince's residence west of London.

Under a new bill put before the House of Commons on December 3, a permit may become necessary to practise hunting in England and Wales.

The Rino issue is easy - stay away from them unless you a serious big-game hunter.

Where do I get my RINO hunting tag? Or is one needed? Is there a bag limit? Are they ever out of season?

I don't particularly like motorcycles, smoking, chainsaws, skydiving, skateboards, tattoos, bungi jumping, swimming pools, snowskiing or gambling.

Sheesh, you'd hate me.

Nope. It's the things or the activities I don't like. I actually admire the people who can do some of that stuff. People who cover themselves with tattoos may gross me out but I do believe in a free country.
I finally broke down and bought a chainsaw. I'm getting too old to swing an axe for hours at a time.
Also, after I left the hospital, I decided I didn't like skydiving.

Well, it didn't come from me. I was referring to "Rhino" as in Rhinoceros - nasty critters that would just as soon stomp a hunter to death as anything else nearby. As for Rino, no license needed or bag limit. Isn't that a good thing? (Got going too fast, didn't I?)

It's nice to see everyone goofing around and having fun on FR. It seems like we're waking up from a bad dream after a horrible eight years of "you know who".

Thanks for the laughs.

They're going to be up to their arses in foxes the way we're up to our arses in deer. Screw the greens, they have no clue and are marxist dupes or fellow travelers anyway.

"But the Queen believes that even if there is only a partial ban, Charles would court disaster for his future reputation if he over-rode the will of the people."

Pity the poor royal house of England. They are never allowed to grow up naturally, making their own decisions and learning how to be people, then they are looked up to as though they are role models - but still they have to cowtow to whatever mould the people wish to cram them into.

It is a real laugher to refer to their royalty as "sovereign!" Ha!

How the hell can that be true if the majority of Brits eat meat. Thats just ignorant, or hypocritical or both. Heck I love my dog and other animals, but the fact is, we evolved to eat meat, its natural. Everything dies eventually and being shot to death is a hell of alot more humane than the way most animals will eventually die. Actually whats ironic is that hunting is far far more humane than the way animals are slaughtered for meat usually. This is a case of pure unadulterated ignorance mixed with an unhealthy dose of sissiness.

Perhaps the pampered princes should be told they can fox hunt if they are willing to eat the fox afterwards.

He was married to a "fox" now he's just chasing a pig.

I was using the argument about a swimming pool being more dangerous for children than a gun in the house without going into details. At one time I thought I would really like a swimming pool but then I found out that I would be the only one in the family doing the maintenance. It's just a personal dislike. I don't mind going to a hotel and using their's, just don't ask me to own one.

Well you do have a point there,,it is an entire industry and quite a social as well as healthy outdoor pursuit. I take back all I said. The jodhpurs are useful I guess to keep one from getting all tangled up on something. So I stand corrected. I think the snobbery invites efforts to get rid of the sport,,sort of like the tax lobby loves to try to get rid of rich people.
