There would be some positive aspects to cloning:

perhaps cloning someone like Helen Keller to see what see could have been like.

clone homosexual, raise them 'anonymously' to see if homosexuality is genetic....

In between classes, Vorilhon says, he received the devoted attentions of six "voluptuous and bewitching" female robots.

This gives insight into what Austin Powers would have become if he was not a secret agent.

Uninhibited sex is an important feature of Raelianism...

I contemplated this at length in 10th grade.

Rael found that his baggy white suits, his medallions and his topknot of hair - which he claimed was an antenna for receiving extra-terrestrial messages - made him a laughing stock in France. So he moved to Canada.

I love the subtle implication of the second of these two sentences.

You know I really shouldn't be making light of this, but EVERYTIME I read "Clonaid", (I know that it is pronounced (Klow-nay-d) I just have to laugh because I keep thinking they've left the "w" out.

Clownaid.

Just what we need ...clones of people stupid enough to believe in these alien stories by a frenchman.

Vorilhon writes that he was hiking in central France in 1973 when he was approached by a four-foot-tall alien whose skin was "white with a slightly greenish tinge, a bit like someone with liver trouble".

Liver trouble. Or heart trouble. Or premature aging. Or any other of the many problems your clones might face.

Maybe it will be Rutger Hauer. Maybe it'll squash your empty head for your trouble.

A Raelian bishop called Brigitte Boisselier volunteered to be Rael's head scientist.

I won't even touch that...

You know, humans must be the most gullible critters in the galaxy. Some offworlders show up, spin the most outrageous story conceivable, and despite the physical evidence to the contrary humanity buys it lock, stock and barrel.
