Don't suppose they will teach the children or teachers how to fire back instead of just being a scared victim?
In Edmonton, they're teaching children as young as five years old how to hide from snipers in school. Along with fire drills, St. Boniface Elementary School in Edmonton is getting kids to hide under their desks, stay away from windows and generally hunker down in the face of bomb scares, chemical threats and crazed gunmen.
I just hope they're also telling the kids how the wahabis are our friends...

" WAR IS PEACE
FREEDOM IS SLAVERY
DIVERSITY IS STRENGTH"
Yes, my own childhood was ruined by these very things. When I was kid, in Chicago, they used to test the air raid sirens every Tuesday at noon. When I asked what that noise was, I was told that it meant that there were enemy bombers coming to blow us up. I used to wonder why they wouldn't just come on a Tuesday, at noon. During the Cuban Missile Crisis, they showed us movies of atom bombs going off, and they made us go through these drills of hiding under our desks, and watching out for all the flying glass. The message I got from all of that was that there were some bad things out there that even grown-ups could not prevent, but they were at least trying to warn me and protect me. I don't think that was a bad message. |
