"The United States is going to have to use tactical nuclear weapons in either Iraq or North Korea or both.. We simply have to get over our phobia of our best tool of war."No, I think that either nation could use some STRATEGIC NUCLEAR WEAPONS as an instructional tool for others to learn from. Use some of the 15-25 megaton warheads for effect.

Don't also forget the Russian military. Yeah they're not the Red Army, but many have combat experience in Chechnya and they still have tens of thousands of tanks in storage.

Take this stinking reactor out. It may cause some radioactive fallout towards Japan, but we can rest assured what is being produced in this reactor is destined for use on the American people. Hey - I am an American in Japan ( southern ) and there are plenty more of us over here in military and not . You want fallout raining down on my kids ????

Of course not, hope you are all safe, but you may want to consider getting out of harm's way if a military strike becomes necessary.

Looks like we are gonna blow up North Korea. That will be 2 legs of out of 3(axis of evil). Iran will implode after the first 2 legs are gone.
Zippity doo da Zippity day.......Iraq we are headed your way.

Come 1/3/2003 there could very well be a nuclear smackdown going on all over the place.

We couldn't agree with you more, but the danger from Russia has been lessened to a great extent by capable leadership from the Bush team. However, there remains a sizeable element within Russia, particularly in the military, that thinks that, as was quoted to Admiral Moorer on a visit there: "This democracy thing hasn't worked." There is still plenty of danger and, on certain points, the Bush administration and the Congressional leadership have so far failed completely to push ahead to truly solve this problem, largely because of their refusal to see the need to embrace breakthrough technology to give us true superiority from a logistical and economic perspective. They all remain wed to incremental changes in existing ways of doing business that have now been in place for decades. Their advisors and consultants remain blind and so do they.

Its almost like the Axis of Evil had a conference call last month and agreed to help each other.
What would bring a Lunatic Communist Dictatorship, a Fanatic Islamic Dictatorship, and a Secular Arab-Facist Dictatorship together?
That's easy: fanatical hatred of the USA.
Axis of Evil. Axis of Hate. And there are those in the USA who think our best response is to try to make ourselves more "likeable".

Iraq does not have any nukes yet so we will threaten to attack it, pressure it with war talk, humiliate its leadership and attack it at will.
North Korea has nukes and WMD and therefore we we will NEVER threaten to attack it, NEVER pressure it with war talk, NEVER humiliate its leadership and WILL NOT attack it at will. We will even allow North Korea to finish deliveries on scud missiles we seize on the high seas to Yemen.
This sends a very clear message heard round the world; If you do not have nukes and WMD the USA will treat you like Yugoslavia and Iraq if you develop nukes and WMD (and the ability to deliver them) in time you will be treated with distance and respect like we treat Pakistan, and North Korea.
That is why I know Iraq does not have online nukes (chemical and bio weapons are 19th century technology so it is very possible the Iraqis can make and use them with little difficulty) at the moment because we are bullying Iraq around at will UNLIKE how we are treating North Korea.

So let's all run away and hide, just like we've done time and time again since about 1952.

So let's run and hide and let the bad guys have the run of the Earth. This type of thinking is the root cause of our current geopolitical issues. We have an abject fear of war between great powers. The problem is, such wars are always inevitable. And yet, our policy since 1945 has been to avoid them. Well, I'll tell you what, just like anything else that is inevitable and repeatedly delayed, when the pot boils over, it is going to be far more painful than it would have been if we had simply dealt with it when the situation first became obvious in the late 1940s, then again in the mid 1950s, then again in the early 1960s, then again in the early 1970s, then again in the late 1970s, then again in the early 1990s....

War is hell. Get over it.

You're right, in a sense. We need to get past our fears of confronting nuclear armed states. Otherwise, we will repeat the mistakes that led to WW-II being a much larger war than it could have been, and shall end up being backed reluctantly into WW-III (if we are even able to function at that point) not ready, and likely to lose, leading to the conquest of the Earth by the next Axis. I'm thinking if the West loses WW-III, the World will probably be under the boot for at least 3 or 4 hundred years, maybe 1000 years.
