Having a birthday in December can be a real bummer. My son's birthday is the 29th. One year he decided he wanted to celebrate it another time of the year. We tried January, but both his grandfather and dad's birthday were in that month and he wanted a month of his own. February had Valentines Day ....no good. We tried out each month: celebrated with little outings or presents....maybe just a trip to McD's or ice cream or a little something that took his eye. Finally December roled around again, and he decided he liked celebrating in that month.... It was a year we remember and talk about often. When we need an excuse (which isn't often) to do something for fun it's "let's celebrate our birthdays".

My sons birthday is today, the 26th. He is 14 TODAY. It is hard. One year we celebrated it JUNE 26, so he could have a pool party. This year he wants to have a party so I told him to have it the week before spring break, in March, so the weather would be nice and the 13-14 year olds can STAY OUTSIDE!!!!!!!!eeeekkkkk. But every year when he was younger was hard to plan a party when most people were either busy shopping or after Christmas, alot of people were out of town.

He is planning to have some kids over tomarrow night to watch movies and pizza and as they say, TO CHILL!!!
