Nethercutt, sounding like a candidate,
Looks like my Christmas spending budget just got bumped! Isn't he sort of the Washington State version of Bill Frist?
Make it so, Number One!
And Merry Christmas!

Thank you for thanking of me.

... We haven't done that." Hmmm. No we just fly over-head dropping Billions of Dollars out of the Drones...
Thank God I live in Washington State now!!
Excuse me while I start writing, mailing, calling, e-mailing, talking, and shouting (if need be) on why we need one less Demo Senator.
This is going to be fun. Ah, the joys of having these Dems around.
Merry Christmas
Out

Bin Laden remarks give Murray grief If this was true, she would apologize. I don't see that in any story posted in the last 3 days.
Murray, in a telephone interview, said she was shocked by the Republican response to what she considered a free-ranging discussion that represented one of the best American values - freedom of thought.
Gee, what side did she come down on with Trent Lott?
Something definitely not heard by the skank in tennis shoes
"I am astonished the Republican Democratic Party would try to spin out of control a conversation with high school students toast to a retiring Senator," she said. "Republicans Democrats have been trying for six months since their embarrassing defeat in the midterm elections to use the war on terrorism find something to with which to attack the Republicans for political purposes."

She should also be forcefully confronted with documentation of our good works in Middle Eastern countries, generosity that goes far beyond that of any other country or organization in the world.Go to my message #18 above. Click on the "#45" link. Follow the links in that message for background info and documentation on our aid to Afghanistan, both before and after 911.

"We're going to unseat this idiot! Yes we are! With whom? Nethercutt doesn't stand a chance. I'm afraid this has endeared Murray with her moronic constituency. Sad.
To: Stultis
It should be obvious that all of the local press is going to back the Moron Patty and make sure that her idiocy is explained away. Any attempts to focus more attention on this issue during the 2004 election will be ridiculed as, the nasty mean GOP bullying a poor little woman.

"She added: "How would they look at us today if we had been there helping them with some of that, rather than just being the people who are going to bomb Iraq and go to Afghanistan?"
A man who had spent most of his adult life in Afghanistan with a humanitarian organization was on our local radio station (KVI in Seattle) saying Murray was completely wrong. He refuted her every point with specifics of what many organizations, plus the US government had done for the Afghans for years. We HAVE built all the stuff she credited Bin Laden with, and he had been there, done that. Kirby Wilbur, our "historian" Conservative talk show host, should go into the same schools where Murray was attempting to poison the young minds, and set the record straight. This woman is a genuine nitwit. Dumb as a rock, (but Liberal as they come).
To: Stultis
I might consider he claim that she was trying to have a "challenging and thoughtful discussion" if her comments demonstrated some evidence of thought. Instead, her comments were filled with unsupported (false) assertions that clearly didn't have much thought behind them (at least not thought about the issue being discussed).

I hope you can unseat this idiot! Good luck!!!!!

And Sen. Trent Lott was just trying to say nice things to a 100-year-old man who was retiring. Oh wait, Murray's a Democrat. Never mind... And:
["Republicans have been trying for six months to use the war on terrorism for political purposes."]
But she has nothing to say about hoe Democrats have been trying for thirty years to use race relations for political purposes."
How liberally hypocritical of her.

Good, maybe she can get a job flippin' burgers in Pakistan...

Presuming, of course, the senior senator from Washington can read...
Patty Murray is either a.) ignorant or b.) an apologist for anti-American terrorism. There is no other option (save "both").

Call me a commie, but I don't think she said anything especially awful. This all seems like a bunch of conservatives looking for an excuse to attack a comment which was, at worst, injudiciously phrased. Saying she's hailing Bin Laden seems kinda silly to me.

"Having a challenging and thoughtful discussion about America's future reflects the best values of a free democracy," she said Lefty spin. Instead of supporting her arguments, she represents criticism as censorship, and challenges to her views are unthoughtful.
This is a standard tactic deployed. Typically when challenged they claim that "dissent" is being "censored". Of course, it's their only hope. What, they're going to admit that they're wrong?

Grief? This piece of democrat excrement could call all the little pickenenies the N word and the liberal democrat laden press would give her a pass. This lady should be run out on a rail, what she said is far worse than what Trent Lott supposedly said; this lady offended all Americans and she is in the Senate. The families of the 3000+ that died should scream that they have been offended but since New York is the bastion of liberal democrats I doubt it.
