This story shows in very stark terms what humans are capable of, both good and bad. Thank heavens the girl is in good hands now and is adjusting. I imagine that it will take a monumental effort on behalf of her new parents to return her to normal - sounds like they are willing to make that effort and are doing a good job.

There is a definite heirarchy in most prisons with child molestors and abusers occupying the very bottom rung. Hopefully these two are facing either a very long life in solitary confinement or a very short life in the general prison population.

Sadly she will never be normal. You can't starve kids during development and expect them to recover. She will likely never grow to be more than four feet tall and will be slightly mentally retarded the rest of her life.
