I've been aware of this story for years. I have no hard objective evidence that it is true, but I definitely believe it happened, and just the way it is depicted here.

some Freeper must know at least one or two employees of GUMC that have worked there long enough to be able to tell us whether this actually happened or not. Far too many people were involved in making this happen, if it did, so it shouldn't be very hard to prove.
Heck, you could probably just cold call the nurses' station on one of the pediatric wards and ask to speak to anyone who's worked there for more than six years.
