I had babies in the deep south, and believe me women here would routinely pat me on the belly and try to figure out the size of the baby. Admittedly most were old ladies and they have free reign to do such things in the south,,we think nothing of old ladies patting us down. Maybe the airports should hire some grey haired grannies to pat people down. I am noticing two veins of argument here,,,those who think I am dense to think a hijacking or bombing could take place again {like we could prevent a guy with a bomb from blowing up the plane} and those who think it is inevitable. And those who think security does nothing. I actually think it has helped ,,it won't be easy for the next terrorist to do the deed. And freedom is nothing without security. And how much freedom is lost by submitting to a screening even if your body is touched? If freedom means nooone touches your woman, well what can I say. Women can fend for themselves in these cases pretty well.

But I was and am in Texas. It would have been very rude to even ask to "feel the baby", much less just do it.
There were only two people that ever felt my belly. My husband and the Doctor.
