I had babies in the deep south, and believe me women here would routinely pat me on the belly and try to figure out the size of the baby. Admittedly most were old ladies and they have free reign to do such things in the south,,we think nothing of old ladies patting us down.

Hmmm...I have no idea what part of the deep south you were in. But I was and am in Texas.It would have been very rude to even ask to "feel the baby", much less just do it.

There were only two people that ever felt my belly. My husband and the Doctor.

Well, in Louisiana, we refer to Texans as Westerners. And we would definitely not feel your bellies. We keep it to ourselves. {This is a joke, don't shoot me}
