For those who might have an opinion on whether Knopf should continue to publish Michael Bellesiles' fradulent book, "Arming America," the History News Network is having an UNSCIENTIFIC online poll.
There appears to have been an organized effort to keep "Arming America" on the shelves. There is also a comment area below the poll.

Every schoolchild in America should learn why credentials are not equal to authority, honesty,or even excellence.
Best regards,
I think there should be an annual Bellesiles award given to the worst junk science piece of propaganda published in any given year. With any luck, the recipient's career will end immediately upon receipt of the award.
Let's make Bellesiles a poster child for everything that is wrong with the contemporary Soviet Socialist Intellectual Elite that have corrupted and destroyed honest, necessary debate in almost every public arena.
Best regards
If you wish to continue to publish "Arming America" by discredited author and former professor Michael Bellesiles, by all means do so. Propriety requires, however, that you label the book truthfully, and publish it under "Fiction."
Great minds etc...
Great idea! The trophy could be one of those "free energy from the earth's magnetic field" machines.
