I too am curious about how good this is supposed to be for civil rights. Lott just came out and prostrated himself before the gimmee crowd and said he endorses affirmative action. I realize that civil rights and affirmative action are not the same, but the gimmee crowd links them. If Lott is gone, that can't so good for affirmative action now, can it?
