NANCY PELOSI Echoes Democrat Talking Points (You're Going To Hear These For The Next Two Years!)
Fox News Channel ^ | December 20, 2002 | N/A

Posted on 12/20/2002 8:28:29 AM PST by Illbay

Nancy Pelosi just made a public statement on the resignation of Lott. Not TWO SENTENCES into the statement, she mentioned the election in Georgia where, she claims "the Republicans exploited white racist sentiment about the Confederate flag." This comes on the heels of similar statements by Bill Clinton yesterday. Batten down the hatches, folk. If you're a conservative and a Republican, you're going to be a "racist" for the next two years!

I only hope that statement (rant)of Pelosi's is on tape and in the Republican's hands to be played over and over and over.

Her words were carried live on C-SPAN - They will probably be replayed 3-4x tonight.

Mort Kondracke last night on FOX tried to spit out the same lying democratic spin, but Fred Barnes shut him up fast. Today Nancy Pelosi, and I also heard Craig Crawford, editor of Roll Call espouse the same spit and spin on MSNBC.

Now Hillary is releasing a statement impugning the entire Republican party and the Southern states where Republicans won governorships and senate seats. She's laying it at the feet of the racist southern conservative voting block. Let's hope the republican party quickly refutes her, in no uncertain terms.

Democrats are on the attack, they will be screeching "racists" for the next two years...it's got to be stopped now.

Marc Racicot, where are you?

Also....this afternoon on FOXNews, Linda Vester asked Eleanor Cliff about a letter Democrats have written to Attorney General Ashcroft, accusing Frist of voter irregularities in senate races.Cliff professed ignorance of the letter, which Vester said was dated December 17. Let's keep an eye out for more information on this...and watch to see if it's another part of their race-baiting attack strategy.

What could be more Racist than Affirmative Action? (A dimocrat talking point since who knows when) Affirmative Action says to minorities: "You are too dumb to do this on your own, let us do it for you. We know what's best for you." Liberals are more racist than they think we are.

I'm so glad Nancy Pelosi brought it up. Let the race baiting Dems go to work turning off the rest of the country every time they appear on TV for the next two years. I say to Pelosi: bring it on!!!

Consider the consequences of the race baiting campaign:

1) The blacks (who are the subject and object of the campaign) are a huge Demoncratic block vote already. Little will change here.

2) The whites who melt in sympathy over the bogus issue are already opposing everything that the Republicans do anyway.

3) The whites who resent the race baiting will likely polarize on the issue with the Republicans if we grow some balls and stand up to the issue

4) The forgotten race in this issue, the hispanics, seem to have more influence in the whole scheme of things and they don't particularly like the blacks in inner city LA (and I am assuming elsewhere) so they may stay split in party loyalty as they are now.

What is the bottom line? Politically, this probably will not have much of a real effect on the voters but will do immeasurable harm tou our country's image in the world community. It is a crime what the Demoncrats are willing to do to "buy" the votes they desperately want.

I think as Republicans, we should demand an apology from the likes of Hillary for the slanderous comments that we are secretly racist. How dare she make such vicious accusations unchallenged!

You mean "us WHITE Southerners."

The fact that people like you don't get it is damning.

No, dipsh**, I mean native Southerners. Growing up in Kentucky, my black freinds flew the Confederate flag just as did we white kids. They listened to Charlie Daniels just as they listened to Charlie Pride, and Z.Z. Top just as they listened to Parliment Funkadelic. The flag flap was concocted by the race baiters who derive their power and status from dividing us, and perpetuated by liberal scumbags and lilly-livered RINOs who would rather switch than fight.

The fact that liberal carpetbaggers like you are still polluting the South is nauseating.

Scouts Out! Cavalry Ho!

While I hope the RATS will overplay their hand on this whole issue, I feathe attention span of the average American voter is too short to actually research the issue and as usual, they will respond to the repeated attacks. remember, repeat a lie ofetn enough and it becomes true

It didn't work in the recent election for governor in Maryland. This is a state with a 2-1 'Rat majority and a sizable black population. Not even the supposedly legendary name Kennedy was enough. I don't think the 'rats race baiting will work much in the future.

I suggest some faction of the RNC go into "offense" mode and collect the racist histories or various Dems. Bush can't do this, nor can Frist, but we need our own version of Carville out there.

How about a full-page ad in the NYPost (or Times!) recounting the sorry racial history of the Arkansan Clintons? Let's start with their close relationship with Fulbright. "Democrat Hypocrisy on Race--how they want to divide our country."

My particular peeve is how Ernest Hollings gets off the hook on segregation in South Carolina. He was the governor during the worst of it!!! He put the Confed Battle Flag on the capitol!! And WHY can't we make hay of that fact?

"....Keystone Kops reaction of the Republicans to the criticism of Lott's comments."

I disagree, Illbay. Unlike the Rats, we have principles. So, when one of our own disgraces those principles, we criticize him instead of defending, bobbing and weaving like the Rats do. What the Republicans really need to do -- and what Lott should have done -- is to meet each of their phony accusations firmly with statements such as, "Now, Senator So-and-so, you and I both know that what you just said is utter nonsense and an attempt to turn my statement into a racial issue for your own political purposes. When will you people and your party stop trying to divide America?"

Thanks for the ping, nutmeg.

The Dems were counting on Lott to stay so they could kick him around next year ...

And, boy, didn't he draw the bullseye on himself with his attempted apologies, especially on the BET interview! Thanks heavens he had the sense to bag it.

It is now time for a counter attack on the part of the Republicans.

You are so right! Give them a taste of their own medicine. And also show how so many of their bankrupt programs regarding race are actually racist and are designed to keep groups of people down but loyal to the Rats.

After the losses in the last election, Democrats need a little more glue, a lesson learned in their one significant victory in Louisiana.

Nope. It was not the black vote, as so breathlessly reported, but an inability for Terrell to distinguish herself from Landrieu on abortion. This also did in Hutshison in Arkansas (among other problems).

For this reason I do not see Louisiana as a particularly hard loss.

...a lot easier than actually telling America what they stand for - ...

And racist programs such as affirmative action that assume that certain groups of people don't have the ability to compete on a level playing field.

Cynthia McKinney lost Georgia for the Democrats. Pelosi is following in here footsteps. Give them some rope, they know what to do...

I wonder if the deficit debacle in California might undermine Pelosi's (and Dems') credibility. Her fellow California Democrats pursued policies indistinguishable from Pelosi's, and the result is a train wreck. Is that what she wants for the U.S.? If not, how would her policies differ?

She would look great with the California millstone draped around her neck.

Why isn't there a push to ban the flags of both countries that allowed slavery during the War Between the States?
