I guess it's time for the Wiccans to get nekkid, and dance around again.

Shortest day of the year Saturday. Every day gets just a little bit longer after that. Thank God, I hate it getting dark at 4:30 pm.

No kidding. Going to work in the dark and getting home in the dark is the worst part about winter. IMO.

Amen. Thank you God for the Solstice. I hate the darkening gloom. Summer is on the way!

Be thankful you're not in St. Petersburg, Russia: Sunrise 10:00 am, sunset 3:54 pm. Ouch.

Even they're thankful they're not Point Barrow, Alaska.

Sunset 1:45 PM, November 18, 2002. Sunrise 1:07 PM, Jan 23, 2003.

You said you live on the "east side of San Jose."

I suspect you're up in Lick Observatory! <|:)~

Even worse-- try Thule Greenland. Next sunrise is not until February 11, 2003, and when the sun finally does come up, its only up for an hour! Double ouch.

'Speshly on my motorcycle. And lately it's been in a blinding rainstorm. Oh, and did I mention the wind.

I love Seattle...

As a crow flies, that's about 6-7 miles south or so, I reckun. I stay away from Lick Obversatory, especially during snowfall. All the folks who have never seen snow before go up there. What a sight that is! Indians, Pakis, Vietnamese, etc ... just love the snow.

The rain has just started here in the NE tip of San Josie , pretty darn gusty all morning long so far. ;-)
