But they worry about the state of moral values and strength of family ties in this country. They aren't the only ones who are worried about moral values . I have serious problems with the moral values of lawbreakers myself. I guess they just conveniently overlook the fact that so many aliens are here illegally, and that 95% of Los Alngeles's Most Wanted are Hispanics.

But, I bet all of the most wanted criminals are hard workers and just want a better life.

I'm half Latino (El Salvador), and I hate to break it these PC pollers, I don't consider myself an El Salvadorean. I consider myself to be AMERICAN (And a damn proud one at that). I also identify myself more with the Spanish than the near barbaric tribes (I see the Inca's as the only somewhat civilized Indian empire) of Central and South America.

Hispanic household incomes lagged far behind whitesPsst ... somebody needs to explain to Sergio that Hispanics are white.
To: B4Ranch
95%? I have trouble believing that. At least 50% must be black.

According to this survey, blacks are more socially conservative than anyone --- less accepting of homosexuality, abortion and divorce than any other group but yet they are perceived as being very liberal and the Republicans seem to have written them off.

Eight in 10 Hispanics said discrimination within the Hispanic community is a problem. This is also interesting ---but not surprising. So what do you do when the victim and the bigot are supposedly in the same group?

Blame Whitey.

The survey found that U.S. Hispanics were very much divided into a world of haves those either born here or fluent in English and have-nots typically those born abroad and with limited English-speaking ability. No! Really? You mean you have to learn the local language to succeed? What a shock! There is no other place where that happens. ( Aside from every other country on earth.)
And I really wish the media would not lump legal immigrants who wish to become Americans and illegal fence climbers in the same group.

I guess that always works ---but anyone who doesn't believe me should ask around themselves ---ask illegals which border patrol agents they'd rather be picked up by ---they'll tell you the gueros are much better than the chicanos who tend to rough them up much more.

You're right about the media ---they have an artificial label that they think means something but they don't get it:
"An overwhelming majority of Hispanics considered Latino-against-Latino discrimination to be a problem, although views varied according to people's backgrounds. For instance, Colombians and Dominicans were more likely to consider such discrimination a problem than Puerto Ricans.
Among Hispanics, Colombians and Dominicans are relatively newer groups in the United States and may tend more toward living and working in primarily Latino neighborhoods, suggested Mollyann Brodie, director of public opinion and media research at the Kaiser Family Foundation. As a result, their experiences with discrimination may be limited to occurrences involving other Hispanics."

The media is so conditioned to portray whites as the bigot group they can't figure out what this means when over 80% of hispanics faced discrimination against them by other hispanics. They honestly seem to believe that if this happened then it was because these immigrants didn't get to meet white people and learn what discrimination really is.
