I saw him when I was at the Fox lot a couple of years ago. Once in the commissary where he sped through, all heads pivoted as he walked by. And then a little while later my friend and I were walking back to her bldg. when he jets out of an office. It was interesting to watch him, he walked very fast with his eyes on the ground not making eye contact with anybody and jumps into his limo.

A friend of mine who works at the NY Post who has met with Murdoch says he is just a shy fellow, who surrounds himself with other Australians. That would be consistent with what you describe.
