OK, class... can anybody say "fraud?" How about "multi-million-dollar lawsuit?"

This show could be a commentary on how shallow and materialistic most American women are. If they really knew he was a construction worker worth $19,000 dollars a year, would these women even look at him twice if not at all?

I would think that Fox's lawyers had a very large hand in crafting all of the releases/contracts for the 'contestants'. They undoubtedly did their work very carefully.

More debris from the Clinton era...lie about sex.Everybody does it.Lie about money, everybody does it.What i can't understand is why anybody watches this stuff? I guess i never will understand that.See in the real world a guy that dupes people like this would be called a "con man".Now we have a network condoning the "con".Absolutely amazing.

Do the writers just sit around and try to think of stoopid shows?

Hey, what comes around, goes around. )

The ex from Spain parted ways for the MultiMillion Dollar portfolio who had to leave the States for Italy to have and keep her (til he gets fed up with her BS/antics):)

What comes around, goes around. When she is left alone, I will not be there for her. Oh well, lessons learned I guess. You "must" have a pocketbook of gold instead of a heart made of gold. :))

With the reality show taking a deceptive twist, the real question is, will reality fans decide duping unsuspecting women goes too far, or that contestants who seek fame and prizes through dating are finally getting their comeuppance?

The real question here is whether anyone will learn a lessen from what goes on daily and every man talks about. Women and men who despitefully use one another are a dime a dozen and the good guys usually end up cleaning up the remains on the battlefield. I don't look down on anyone; but, at the same time, I've little use for allowing a goldbricker to latch on to me. Nor do I have much use for spending my life defending myself as not being like those who choose to act as refuse.

This one might actually fly. Somehow I think a lot of people would enjoy watching a golddigger strike zinc.

I call upon all present to witness that I take you to be my lawful wedded wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health while we both shall live.

I love it! Way to go Joe!

Rupert Murdoch is to Western civilization what Bin Laden is to the world trade center,

when the history of the downfall of western civilization is written, FOX will probably figure prominently in the story.

My first thoughts were that the women watching this show would feel 'deceived' by the network, and would get turned off to watching shows by that network. Now, if they are letting the audience know ahead of time like they are doing, then maybe the women will watch it to 'see these golddiggers get their comeuppance!'.
Not being a woman, I have no idea what they will really do.
The men, if they are like me, have better things to do than watch the show, no matter what.

I think this is going to be quite an experience for a number of these girls who are in serious need of such an education.

I can already hear the crickets chirping inside their hollow heads as I think about it...LOL

"Viewers aren't meant to respect the so-called 'actors' on these shows any more than they respect the naked Jell-O wrestlers on Howard Stern."

So good, let me quote it again:

"Viewers aren't meant to respect the so-called 'actors' on these shows any more than they respect the naked Jell-O wrestlers on Howard Stern."

Now then, remember it and apply it to all actors. Let alone those who sign petitions of protest to our President.

Why is the class distinction between "so-called" actors and Hollywood elite? Hollywood's bastard children show that many actors are just as cheap as a no-name who appears on Howard Stern's show to exhibit some geek trick.

I think the only people more pathetic than the people on these so called "reality shows" are the people that watch them. Minds like bowls of cold oatmeal.

I also wonder about this construction worker. Most guys I know in construction make more than 19K if they're even halfway competent (even 20 years ago when I was doing that kind of work and it was seasonal).

Whaddaya want? It's "reality TV", and the reality is, it's all manufactured. There's nothing "real" about it.

The combined I.Q. of the "reality fans" isn't high enough for them to decide anything.

This guy might have been earning 19K once, but he won't after this show is over. He's good looking and will be in all the women's magazines. He'll do the talk show cicuit and he'll probably get offers from various "B" movies or trashy TV shows.

So the lucky woman won't be getting $50 million, but she'll get considerably more than 19K. Of course, that realization won't set in instantaneously, so it will still be fun to see her reaction when she realizes she's been duped.

I have one additional suggestion, and that is that the pictures of all the money-grubbing women who took part in this show be posted in all Post Offices across the country, so that they might be held up to ridicule for some time. The definition of a prostitute is someone who provides sexual favors for financial gain. That is what these women are. Prostitutes.

I predict a ratings blockbuster.

I watched the show tonight and it appears that most of these women were only interested because they thought he was wealthy. Fox has a huge hit on its hands because it has something for everyone--a nice looking guy for the ladies and lots of nice looking ladies for the guys. Both groups will enjoy watching the golddiggers getting scammed and at the same time hoping the guy gets his comeuppance as well.
