Witness testimony from the above cited thread:
Basically, I -- I did not want to be there when that happened. Because after that incident there was more times that we had live births come back to us. 16 weeks, all the way up to sometimes even 30 weeks. And the doctor would either break the neck, or take a pair of tongs and basically beat the fetus until it was dead.

I'm a pro-lifer and this story, if she is talking about an American medical facility, is plain bullshit!

Maybe if she gave a bit more hard evidence that this did indeed happen - people can (and do) say anything these days for a little attention or to foward an agenda. I am pro-life myself, and I also tend to be very focused on facts.

I just ran acrossed an interesting fact this morning. In the entire state of California - there are only 7 hospitals that perform in-house abortions (as of 2000) and they are done on an in-patient basis, with a stay of 24 - 36 hours. I can find no stats yet on abortions done in E.D.'s. I will continue looking once I get to work.

"but if it were true, the abortionist and all who assisted would still be liable for a murder charge"
Especially since forced abortion in this country is considered a felony.....

While I have a hard time accepting this story at face value--assuming it OCCURRED in the USA, I can believe it quite easily if one thinks to place it in a foreign country, like China...
Note the story never specifies a location.

Especially since forced abortion in this country is considered a felony..... But as in the recent Missouri case, if the parent wants to stop the abortion involving a minor child, the law steps in and prevents the mother from attending, allowing for the abortion.
In this case, when the parent wants an abortion for the minor, the baby-killers get their way, and the laws , if any, are ignored and nobody gets involved. Any media involvement is to make sure the laws, even if they have to be changed, side with the abortionists.
God Bless this country. We need to stop the killing of anything made in His image.

I have a nursing background. I assure you that this could be true. Children have no options. Unless the children want the abortion. Then the parents not only have no say, the parents in some states are even denied the knowledge and even if they ask, they are lied to by authorities.
To: CAPPSMADNESS
They do indeed have options. a fifteen y/o girl has the right to refuse any invasive procedure in an emergency room situation. This scenario would have raised red flags all over the place! There would have been doctors, nurses, social workers and child advocates all over this! Pregnancy is not a life threatening situation. Now if this child was in need of a life saving procedure or medication - force could be used via parental consent. If this child needed stitches to stop bleeding - force could be used via parental consent. But force would have not been used to abort a baby in the E.D. - She would have been referred out. Not only referred out - this child would have been interviewed alone by several people and possibly admitted to insure that this was not an abuse case. In a perfect world!
I hope we can verify this story, one way or the other, but I don't doubt for a second that the abortionists are capable of this.

This is true...they are in a no-parent zone about abortion.

Mine too - just a shade too much melodrama, too straight from the pages of the old "True Confessions" type magazine.
