If FR keeps banning people who have strong feelings on issues, or maybe the "wrong" feelings on issues, it's going to be a very boring place. People don't have to agree with everything they hear, but I think banning is going too far.

Again, it wasn't FL's opinions, it was how he dealt with other members that got him banned. He was the intolerant one. I remember on one thread he complained about other people "disrupting", when in fact they were posting disagreements with his point of view. So I posted to him: "disruption=dissent with your views" and the next thing you know, I got a FReepmail from Jim Robinson asking me to explain myself. What do you think of Former Lurker having an itchy trigger finger where the abuse button is concerned?

It had everything to do with his manifest inability to conduct himself with even a bare minimum level of civility.
