"Do you really think they are willing to take ground casualties, rather than do their killing from high altitude, or letting someone else do it, so that they can remain morally superior...in their own eyes ?"

'Course not. Then again, do you think we'll ASK?

Pick and choose which propaganda you wish to disseminate on some other forum. If you wish to remain in this forum, I suggest one of the Trent Lott threads...you can join with Americans in bashing very aspect of mainstream America and our administraion on pretty much any one of them.

Don't post to me anymore.

"You are fast to come up with facts in support of Nazi Germany...."

I love it when people carefully pick and choose facts, then add some namecalling and false allegations for 'good measure'...YEP, ol' bobi has ME convinced!! German propaganda and name calling...it 'convinces' me every time.

It doesn't matter what country is selling what to whom, its all about money when you get to the nut cutting. Many companies here would be selling all sorts of things to the devil if it weren't for our laws, and still they get away with it at times.

...Iraqi Report Could Prove Damaging to Germany...

I always suspected that Schroeder and his pals campaigned against war on Iraq because they were afraid of exposing their bratworsts, and not because of their own national security.

Ummm... you missed a very important part of the story -

It indicated that these arms deals and other trade was going on through 2001!

"It doesn't matter what country is selling what to whom, its all about money when you get to the nut cutting"

Ah but it DOES matter what country is selling what to whom. People from many countries, including Germany, are CONSTANTLY beating the drums about how it's all the AMERICANS' doing because the EEEEEEVEEEEEEL AMERICANS sold all the weapons in the first place, and helped aided some defunct regime in (enemy here), usually DECADES ago, so WLL THE PROBLEMS OF THE WORD ARE AMERICA'S FAULT.

When the shoe winds up on the foot of one of these 'morally superior' countries, particularly ones which WOULDN'T EVEN EXIST WITHOUT AMERICAN MILITARY INTERVENTION, most of us will be d@mned quick on the payback trigger.

I've always suspected the same thing about Russia.

Let's not get too deep into the Germany-bashing here, folks. This is just the first leak. Let's not pretend we aren't going to find half the world selling stuff to Saddam Hussein. It won't surprise me if we find a half-dozen British and American firms in there, too.

That would be an impossible task.

Ah but it doesn't really matter to them, because they aren't like you and I, they are like the drug dealer getting arrested and another one takes his place. You create a vacuum, and it will be filled. Hell, an Israeli arms dealer will sell arms to the enemy if he can. It's not always about the government or the country as a whole, it's about greed, and lack of concience.

Bobi has also been posting carefully screened bits of 'information' every 20 to 22 posts...no more than that. Every one of bobi's posts on this thread containes no quotes to refresh the memories of readers as to exactly WHICH poster bobi is replying to, OR why. The only way to get any sense out of bobis posts is to check the number of the post the reply was made to, and then scroll back to see what the heck bobi's post pertains to.

My father flew 8th Army Air Force over Germany in WW2. He told me before he died that Germany will work from generation to generation until they take the world.

Hah! Nowadays Germans won't work at all, and have stopped having new generations.

"It won't surprise me if we find a half-dozen British and American firms in there, too."

America's 'fault' in this was established long ago. We just love to see the tables turned on the morally superior countries telling us it's all OUR fault (apparently thinking their own country was innocent of such barbaric behavior) and even calling our president a Nazi for wanting to oust a REAL Nazi.

Those who live in glass houses....

Agreed about greed. However, it's Gerhardt who deserves the tweak. America has been thoroughly bashed for having aided the mujahadeen fighting Soviet occupation and 'causing' the Taliban regime, and for the CDC providing anthrax and ...LOL...West Nile virus to Saddam (even if the samples WERE inert, and Saddam can get anthrax tissue samples from any Third World pasture and West Nile virus originated in his neck of the woods - identified in the 1940's - who cares LETS BLAME AMERICA)

So...money and greed has nothing to do with this. IMO, Gerhardt's earned a few tweaks.

How can this be? I thought Germany was against war.

Principled pacifism is one thing, and respectable people can support it (though I do not.) What the Germans are up to is unprincipled, opportunistic embargo-breaking. They don't want inspections or invasion because they know that all of the machines in Saddam's nastiest poison factories will be marked Made in Germany.

"No blood for oil" my @$$. The Germans are happy to trade blood for oil, as long as it is the blood of innocent Israelis and Americans.
