December 17, 2002 -- Religious tensions erupted yesterday after authorities confirmed that an Arab girl beat up a Jewish girl at a Brooklyn middle school.

The Arab teen was arrested and suspended for the Dec. 12 attack on the 13-year-old Jewish girl, an honors student, at IS 259 in Dycker Heights, sources said.

Yet another media blitz over nut'in. What's the demographics for this school anyway? If ya got 50 arabs and 10 Jews, sooner or later a Jew is going to get beat up (duh). Now if the arab wrapped herself up in dynamite and sat on the Jew, that's different. That's serious.

We cannot live in a world where all unfairness, dangers, and evil wishers are kept in check. Being beaten up is a time tested method of those with no brains getting even with God and their parents for cultivating the next generation of ditch diggers.

Those who get beaten up for lack of mob mentality, learn by the experience and years later own the businesses which then hire the ditch diggers.

Those same people who get beaten up, eventually hold their own and authority figures who would prevent this process are just delaying it until the participants are older, out of the school system, and are ready to act the whole thing out with a gun. Children are a wonder to watch evolve. Our meddling in many cases just ruins the process.

In all cases I can think of, such situations eventually end up with both participants becoming friends. When you have been passionate enough as a child to split a lip, blacken an eye, and stood up to each other, it builds a mutual respect after the immediate emotion has wained. The school should start boxing classes. That would be more helpful than an army of school administrators and psychologists.

Fair is not a human trait. It cannot be legislated. Hate crimes legislation is a dark period in the legislative nightmare we have created. Children are smart enough to not care about hate crimes as adults define them. Anyone punching you in the nose at the momnent is technically committing a hate crime. Only an adult becomes stupid enough to make catagories for which some nose punchers are more wicked than other nose punchers.

Listen to what I am saying. You or I will never know the real circumstances of this altercation. Perhaps it was jewish animosity toward the Arab. We could ask the next door neighbor of the uncle of the Arab girl for his opinion. I will wager that it will be different from Mr.H's opinion as expressed in the article. What would make the neighbors opinion any less valid? My point is that this is a very biased article as is the response from most posters.

Last year my daughter took a baseball bat to a boy who beat her up. She got quite the punishment. She also got justice. Three months later, she got a good friend. My oldest daughter is a loner and takes Tae Kwon Do lessons. She was being pushed around for months by a real female animal at her school. One lightning fast roundhouse kick to the side of the head ended the whole thing. Maybe you explained why we live in Wisconsin and not New York.

I have no inherent buy-in to Israel. But by what objective standard can it be said that Arabs have run their affairs with the best interests of the citizens of Arab countries in mind? Israel stands out as a country with rule-of-law and representative government amid a cesspool of dictatorships, cleptocracies, retrograde monarchies, and murderous nutbags. And in this case, what reason do I have to think that this beating was a Zionist Conspiracy to draw sympathy? It sure looks like a bunch of low-life adherents to the "Religion of Peace" thrashed this girl for her beliefs. Send the perps back home so they can use sand for toilet paper and toothpaste. That appears to be their level of civilization.
