"Oh. As Majority Leader? Go."
I agree and I believe Lott has said he would stay in the GOP no matter what happened. It seems to me that he is asking to be pushed as he doesn't want to jump voluntarily from the Majority Leader position. So how about a little shove on Jan. 6. 2003..

GO. Milkquetoast wimp Lott had his chance. He performed in an abysmal manner during the 'Trial of Shame' in January and February, 1999. What was it he told the Honorable Congressman Henry Hyde? "You're not gonna dump this on us." or something like that. Had we had a Senator with some cajunas and some guts and some solid principles instead of a momma's boy Lott, we would have removed the raping pervert from office.
Lott, get the HELL out.

Go - not necessarily for the alleged racist statement - but for obstructing justice in clinton's impeachment trial.

Lott, Nickles Civil Rights Votes Similar
By JIM ABRAMS, Associated Press Writer
WASHINGTON - Sen. Don Nickles (news, bio, voting record), the first Senate Republican to suggest that Trent Lott should be replaced as their leader, has built a civil rights voting record that is nearly identical to that of the man he would depose.
The NAACP says that over the past decade, Nickles and Lott have voted the same on almost every issue deemed important by the civil rights community. And in almost every case, their votes were contrary to the wishes of that community.
On the other hand, both Nickles, of Oklahoma, and Lott, of Mississippi, win the highest ratings from conservative groups. In 2000, the American Conservative Union gave both 100 percent ratings on key votes.

Good call.

A recent convert to the "go" position after his whining and humiliating kissing up to John Lewis. He's killing us. And then we go after Byrd and make it a drumbeat that he must go for his use of the "n" word and the "revelation" (so we should call it) of his Klan membership.
