FReepers, I was just on the air with Hugh Hewitt. He wanted to see one thread in which we answer the question --- should Lott stay or go. Please give Hugh a one word answer. Thanks.

He should step down a majority leader now if for no other reason than he can't seem to get enough of chapping his lips slobbering on the butts of all these racist blacks, but certainly not because of what he said. He wasn't an effective majority or minority leader in the first place, but he would be completely useless now because he would be a slave to the liberal agenda to try and prove he wasn't a racist. What a dumb*ss.

He should have gone a long time ago. The latest from the spineless bastard is the last straw!
GO!

I suppose you prefer Daschle as a majority leader -- he has been so good to the Republicans and Bush's agenda, including the judges, right? Because if Lott goes, that is whom you are going to get.

Yo... you should figure out how many dem, republicans and INDEPENDANTS there are in the senate. Plus Bush has a huge following. Lott will not resign the senate he has never had a Job. He has something to prove now. He will do it but not as majority leader. WHY do you think so many Republicans are wanting his head. You are seeing this as a democrat issue. It is we republicans running this and we will finish it and still in the majority. The beauty is that Lott did this to himself. The dems do not want to get rid of Lott as leader unless it is daschole. Believe me this is already over and Lott will find a hole to hide in some committee. He should have worked for the republican agenda instead of his own. NOW he is paying in spades. This will be a lesson to other senators too.

I want him gone, but not for these BS charges/accusations of being un-PC that are being thrown at him. He needs to be evicted as Senate Majority Leader b/c he's not a very good leader.
To: Noachian
The Democrats are actually quite vunerable on this issue and many others, but I have very little faith in a Republican ambush of the type you suggest. If the Republicans aren't going to be able to take Democrat attacks and knock them out of the ballpark, they shouldn't encourage them. Perhaps I should have used an "iff" rather than an "if" [btw, given that "iff" [meaning 'if and only if'] is always written without a period and is often used as a very useful word in its own right, why does Webster's regard it only as an abbreviation and thus not suitable for use in the SCRABBLE® brand crossword game?

What in the blue-eyed world makes you think the Republican Senate would elect a democrap to be majority leader?
