I finally figured out what this "scandal" reminds of in the past.

Rememeber following the Republican victories in 1994? Newt Gingrich was teaching a course at a Georgia University, I think concerning Anthropology. CNN had cameras inside of the class-room and in one his lectures, he explained the differences between men and women by using an example concerning Africa, giraffes, and the people living there.

Well, the media went crazy with this statement. NOW and other feminist groups said he was a sexist, while several black groups said his example was bigoted. So, it seems that any mis-statement a Republican makes that violates the PC-genre, and the media will burn him or her.

It reminds me of Newt days as well. No one else seems to remember this. Even Newt was not stupid enough to fry himself on BET by a race baiter.

That must be why gore didn't want cameras, tape recorders etc., in his classroom. Remember, he even made the students sign a statment saying that they wouldn't share w/press etc what he said during his lectures.
