Where are all the Lott defenders on FR?

It ain't about Lott.

It is about a political party that does not know how to use the power when they have it.

Instead of pointing out the media's known double standard, our President leads the girly men pubbies in an orgy of hand wringing.

Bush could have nipped this thing in the bud, by cashing in some political capital with a hard hitting statement on media bias.

Wonder why that was not forthcoming? I know the answer.

You want to play hardball....the problem is that Lott *can't* play hardball, thus, even if Bush followed your strategy, it would fail. Lott needs to go for such a strategy ever to happen.

Because 1: to do such a thing would be morally wrong, and 2: it would be perceived by the public as a polular president using that popularity to prop up cowardly, sniveling idiot and political opportunist...and the public would be absolutely right.

People have tried to defend him. People have tried to throw him a proverbial rope to pull himself out with, and he hasn't taken any opportunity he's been given. This is Lott's mess. Let him clean it up.
