The more I read from "TooGood" the more I'm lumping them in with Newsmax and World Nut Daily. (After going to their site, I’d put them a notch below World Nut. Some of the commentary is good, but some is downright stinky.). The page even makes it pretty difficult to know that it IS commentary, not hard news. Let’s break apart some of the B.S.
New York has been withering for fifty years. [Bullsh-t. New York does as well as expected as any large city in the grip of a socialist political class. ] Some people have said that the two-term mayoralty of Rudy Giuliani (1994-2001) restored New York's bloom, but what Giuliani really did – along with a number of other pragmatic, big city mayors at the time – was engage in masterful impression management. [This person probably never lived in New York. There is a huge difference between NYC in 1988 and NYC in 1998.] He may have reduced crime and welfare somewhat – no one really knows – but he largely ran a massive shell game with both. [No, not at all. Welfare rolls and certainly crime have been seriously reduced.] In any event, between the 9/11-induced municipal recession and the 12/5-induced depression,[What are you talking about?] anything Giuliani achieved has been washed away, like a sand castle at high tide.
” New York's black newspapers, Harlem's Amsterdam News and Brooklyn's (since defunct) City Sun….” Little tiny publications. Big Deal.
On a live broadcast of the Donahue show, a young black man stood up and smugly announced, "How come everybody knows Tawana Brawley's name, but no one knows the name of -------- M----, the Central Park Jogger?" (This outrage was edited out of the West Coast version of the show.) So some loser on the DONAHUE SHOW of all things speaks for every Black in NYC?
“…(the boys were separated into two groups), the boys' supporters shouted at her, "Whore!," "Slut!," and "The boyfriend did it!” Again, the author makes it seem like the relatives of the rapists speak for all Blacks.
Every time you hear a black supporter claim the five men were "framed" and were "innocent," think of the O.J. Simpson case, which the Jogger case predated by five years. In both cases, the word "innocent" didn't mean that the supporter thought the accused had not committed the act, only that he did not consider it a crime for a black to assault, maim, rape or murder a white. Indeed, black supremacists consider such acts the stuff of heroism. Similarly, the claim that a black male was "framed" for attacking a white, translates as "They have to keep their hands off our men," no matter what havoc those men have wreaked. Much of black supremacist literature by such lights as Frances Cress Welsing and Amos N. Wilson, consists of rationalizations for black genocide against whites.
Notice how the author “quotes” an imaginary supporter and then casually refers to OJ. Then the author makes all sorts of references to “black supremacists” with mentions of genocide that have nothing to do with the case in questions.
The New York media refused to report on the racial nature of the crimes, or the black media campaign vilifying the victim, and barely reported on the viciousness of the five boys' supporters and relatives. (A family member of Kevin Richardson harassed and made terrorist threats against lead prosecutor Elizabeth Lederer on the street, and assaulted journalists, yet got off scot-free.)
Again claims w/out any sort of verification. He uses the relatives of these thugs as examples of Black support? How ridiculous. BTW, I did a search on Newday’s site and there was no headline of “Long Time Coming”
This article has a thinly veiled agenda. It almost seems racist as it implies that a majority of Black New Yorkers support the joggers. That simply isn’t true.
The real travesty is that Morgenthau is asking for their assault convictions (on the other pedestrians) to be overturned as well when there is no legal basis for it. There are technical reasons why the rape convictions are being overturned and even the NYPD agrees. I’ve read but don’t quite remember the terms under the law.
The problem with this article, IMHO is that it seems to be thinly veiled rascism. Sure some ghetto blacks are probably happy for these losers, but I work w/ plently of Black people and they don't agree. I'm sure lot's of trailer trash were cheering the cross burners too. A hit piece from the right is still a hit piece.
