Oh, yes!!! I needed that little jump start to get me going today. Got lots of runnin' around to do - and it is a grey drizzly day here. I wish I could stay inside but I'm going to be doing lots of sloshing around through puddles today.

Hi, dutchess! Thank you! I've missed being here, but I almost took on more than I could handle for this 'so-close-to-Christmas' time! Fortunately, MY work here is done, and now I can sit back and enjoy the fruits of OTHER PEOPLE's labor from now through New Year's Day!!!

A quick run-down of coming attractions:

• Tomorrow the Pet Thread.
• Wednesday Molly Pitcher Guest Writer/Host with a BEE-UTIFUL thread (to be presented in the greatest fashion by Miss Daisy).
• Thursday we get to read JohnHuang again, after too long an absence!
• Friday, Libertina is our Guest Writer/Host, with Dansy doing the honors (have not seen that draft yet, but I know to expect something really wonderful).
• Next week, on Monday - and I HAVE seen a draft of this one - it is FANTASTIC! A MUSIC/Art show by Aquamarine and Daisy! Impressive!
• Tuesday and Wednesday, again daisy is posting two very special Christmas threads.

• The following week, JohnHuang will have another essay on Monday,
• our Hall of Fame #2 thread (covering the last 3 months of threads) on New Year's Eve,
• and on New Year's Day, dansangel is doing a special New Year's thread.

Wonderful stuff happening right here!

You know, I am SUCH A NEWBIE here that when I wrote that intro I wrote "Mixer" when I think I was thinking "Flyer" -- the one with the golden retriever. But it all turned out for the best because what a list you produced!! (And so fast too -- you're were post 42 if I recall.)

I love the subtle humor in each photograph too.

So yes, I say let's do a Dog a Day! I'd be happy to do the honors.

Jwfiv says he feels "guilty" that he took first from y'all, which is silly. I say (1) we always promised that the judging would be highly erratic, so no one can complain (well, except perhaps Aeronaut, I forgot to review his when I collected the lists! oopsssss) and (2) that as hard as you might search the web, you'll never find a dog as cute as Laura Bush is in her purple/black Christmas dress! and (3) even if jwfiv hadn't been first, then we would have had to decide whether you or pippin won, and that would have been *too hard* 'cause you guys were both so good, hence neither of you could come in first! See? It all makes sense. LOL. :P I'm just relieved that Billie's still talking to us after that last guest-hosting. :)
