I had heard that Gore's home state has a day honoring Nathaniel Bedfore Forrest. He was an early leader of the KKK. It irritated me to no end that Gore was so beloved by black Americans regarding the Confederate flag if this were true, and I am 90% sure it is. Not a word about his own home state.
