The remarks were made on the O'Reilly Factor in 2000. O'Reilly asked him point blank. By the way, do you even respect Bill Bennett? He is on Fox saying that Lott needs to step down.

I respect Bill Bennett. I don't agree with him on everything. I don't agree with him here, just as I didn't agree with him on Prop 187, which advocated English only in California schools. (The English-only classes which Prop 187 brought about are working beautifully,BTW.) Nobody's infallible.
