Clinton was a personable guy, too. Nickles has more sincerity in the tip of his little finger than Clinton and entire Democratic Party have total.
To: Jimer
Toughness is required, that's for sure!

My only problem with Lott losing his job is that willie green and ambrose will have two threads on one job loss. LOL!

Ahh...willie green and ambrose...the epitome of "misery loves company". Willy green (misery), ambrose (company).

Lincoln Chafee [...] did not call for Lott to step aside, saying he worries that potential successors might be even more conservative than the Mississippian.[One Syllable Explicitive Rhyming With "Luck"] Lincoln Chafee Bump!

" I can guarantee that he is not Trent Lott! "
I think that just about everyone can agree that Trent has been a disappointment to most conservatives-he tried harder to be liked by Democrats than Republicans.Having said that,it should be the Republican's decision and not Maxine Waters and Al Gore, as to if and when a leadership change is made. Right now, I am for letting the dust settle and see what happens.Perhaps Trent has had a "Road to Damascus" moment and will mend his ways.

Well, you are an optimist.
Myself, I feel that the longer Lott is in the Leadership position, the more damage acrues to our party.
To: EternalVigilance
Nice and likeable are not primary job qualities I would hire someone on.
To: RedBloodedAmerican
True.
But necessary traits needed to fix the problems created by the very unlikeable Lott.

He only damages us,as long as we allow the media, the Democrats and Maxine Water's Brigade to tarnish us.It's time to take a stand and stop allowing them control over our party and our agenda.Too many conservatives are having Sally Field moments and are too willing to wave the white flag, the first time the media criticizes us.
To: EternalVigilance
I guess I haven't read any comments by his constituents or senators indicating he isn't likeable.
To: EternalVigilance
Well he has NICE hair....

Too many conservatives are having Sally Field moments and are too willing to wave the white flag, the first time the media criticizes us. It was Lott who was down on his hands and knees groveling before the race-baiters yesterday; promising them the sun, the moon and the stars...planetary bodies that will be paid for with your tax dollars, of course.
That is surrender.
We need to get our own house in order, without regard to anything they do.

I guess I haven't read any comments by his constituents or senators indicating he isn't likeable. Who, Lott?
You are kidding, right? LOL..

"Nice and likeable are not primary job qualities I would hire someone on."
Shouldn't the job you are hiring them for come into play?
To: EternalVigilance
Whoever it is has to be squeaky-clean
the Rats really think they're on to something and the successor will be put under the microscope by the Rats' willing partners in the media.
