All right! We've moved from suitcase nukes to backpack nukes!

Next week it might be lunchbox nukes or maybe even lockbox nukes.

When I first saw this I said to myself, "It's not Sunday night, why is Drudge pumping his radio program with a hyped up headline a day early.

Hopefully the "paper" doesn't turn out to be, ... dang I forgot the name of that internet rag that churns out stuff from Israel that is always full of crap. Help me out here freepers and it's not al Jazeera.

"renegade KGB agents"

The KGB and the GRU still live. Don't be fooled. I find it funny that we hear "former" or "renegade" and we decide it doesn't have anything to do with Russia...

Examine the case of Robert Hanssen and you'll realize how active these groups still are.

The KGB was (and its successor organization is) in charge of nuclear weapons security, IIRC.

Yawn...

The half-life of the triggers for such atomic weapons is typically 60 days, after that, the weapon requires new radioactive material (as well as specialized electronincs maintenance).

Same thing as a OUIJA board, magic 8 ball, or Miss Cleo.

I understand the so called suitcase nukes to actually be the size of large foot lockers, 4' by 2.5' by 2.5'.
Based on the material taken from Al-Queda's R&D facility in Afghanistan, their sophistication was a cut below the Mr. Wizard science show.
