I do not like Lott as the ML, he is weak and a fool that falls for Dem ploys.

I just do not want us allowing the public to think we allowed a Racist to ascend our leadership.

That is what the "laymen" I have talked with think. They think that republicans that are calling for Lott's resignation are covering their tracks. If we did not think he was a racist we would defend him and if we thought he was a racist we would call for his complete resignation.

We must defend the Truth even for people we do not like.

This will cost us. This is not the way you clean house.

And how do we get to the truth here? I think you would agree that Lott's statement was loaded - the question you in turn are asking, does it prove he is a racist? The problem is, we simply have no way of knowing. But the fact that he uttered such a loaded statement is enough to demonstrate his poor judgement.
