In memory of my fellow Vietnam helicopter pilots who were killed in that war the following were lost on DEC 13. God bless them all.
1967 CW2 Richard D. Jenks (USAR) -- 176 AHC, Age 23, San Bernadino, California
CW2 Jenks was killed when the tailrotor of his UH-1 failed in flight causing the aircraft to crash, killing 3 crewmembers and 3 passengers. The copilot, WO1 William H. Borchart was fatally injured and died on Dec 22, 1967, his death will also be noted on that date.
Unit patch of 176 AHC "Minutemen".

May God hold close beside Him the souls of all of our fallen heroes. May He bless their families and loved ones abundantly.
May we, as US citizens, show the utmost respect and gratitude for all of our fallen heroes and all of our Military Personnel past and present as we enjoy the freedoms that they have ensured for us every day.
We ask this in the Name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, Amen.

As a post script to today's post, I just received this email from the webmaster who maintains my old units website. We lost one of ours today, Greg Snow, Armorer / Gunner, T-Birds, Oct. 1968 - Oct 1969.
"This is sent with a heavy heart, but I need to let you know of Gregg's passing today. He passed away from rare lung infections that I feel are related to Agent Orange but we all know they don't exist. I want to thank you for all the emails you sent. They made him laugh and brought him closer to those of you that he fought with and lived with for his tour in Vietnam.
God Bless all of you and my best wishes for better and happier times."
My prayers to the family for their loss.
Scouts Out.
