Exactomundo.. those are the reasons we'd love to see him step down from the leadership postion. But not for the statement he made. He was simply trying to say (to make a 100 year old man feel good) "that that man had great idea's, and if we had followed them we'd all be better off for it" (not an exact quote).

Now,... Sen. Lott may or may not have really meant what he said.. for crying out loud, it was for a really old guys birthday. People say all sorts of nice things to the honored person/s. This particular incident is being blown way out of hand.
