Thank goodness that the truth is getting out in time here in the US that if guns are outlawed only outlaws have guns, and that concealed carry saves lives.

Canada's Liberals are the longest running comedy skit Canadians have seen for a decade. The longer they're in power the more arrogant, profligant, and incompetent they become. Its amazing Canadians tolerate the lot of them.

Unfortunately, the right is split between the Progressive Conservatives, who squandered their credibility 10 years ago and were decimated, and in any case probably would have come up with a similar boondoggle anyway; and the Canadian Alliance, which despite having enough seats to form the opposition, are still largely considered a party of Western discontent and have yet to make any serious inroads in the East, which is crucial if you want to have any chance of becoming the government.

The Alliance was recently plagued with some internal dissent, including the temporary defection of about a dozen members over former party leader Stockwell Day's leadership.

There have been a couple of attempts made to "unite the Right" in recent years, but the Conservatives will have none of it, so the present situation may well continue for some time.

Canada is essentially populated by the same socialists that one will find in the U.S. The government has had thirty years to brainwash an entire generation into submission. Because of Canada's small population - it is now in its later stages.

As 8 of the 10 provinces have refused to operate the registry, the system is being run directly by the Feds, and I suspect that they hired the Mackenzie Brothers to run it.

One way or the other, Alberta will rid itself of the liberal muck foisted upon it.The emasculated men and and feminists of Ontario have had their day in the sun. Sure hope you're right about this, too many of us here have almost given up hope that things will ever change in Ottawa. And ask almost any gun owner - not a single one I've talked to is the least surprised about the registry over-spending - many of them had predicted this years ago, they're only surprised that it took so long to come to light.
