[history]
West Bloomfield bulk e-mailer Alan Ralsky, who just may be the world's biggest sender of Internet spam, is getting a taste of his own medicine.
Ever since I wrote a story on him a couple of weeks ago he says he's been inundated with ads, catalogs and brochures delivered by the U.S. Postal Service to his brand-new $740,000 home.

Yeah. I was able to find his full name and address too. Big as life right there on that little 'ol web page. But had no desire to publish it here either. "Them that wants is them that gots ....." As for me, I'm just having a laugh or two and filling out little spaces in time.

You have a serious problem. Yes. It is spam.
Really, does everyone need a disclaimer for everything, all the time?
No one who actually meant that would write it in a public forum. OK, here's a sarcasm declaration.

really,
maybe from now on you have to put
_BIG_ _DISCLAIMER_
on every post you make, stating that
_THIS_ _IS_ _A_ _JOKE_ _THIS_ _IS_ _ONLY_ _A_ _JOKE_
for the humor impaired...

(Focus Forum question at the bottom for John).
No one who actually meant that would write it in a public forum. OK, here's a sarcasm declaration.
That's not what I meant and your remarks were not sarcastic by any reasonable interpretation of the definition.
Definition
(from Cambridge International Dictionary of English)
sarcasm
noun [U]
(the use of) remarks which clearly mean the opposite of what they say, and which are made in order to hurt someone's feelings or to criticize something in an amusing way
"You have been working hard", he said with heavy/biting sarcasm, as he looked at the empty page.
Torture is never amusing. A graphic description of torture to an entire family (especially as punishment for antisocial behavior they did not commit) is never amusing. What is the opposite of torture?
I know you're not the only one on this forum who does it, but sometimes I'm real, real glad I'm half way across the world from some of you.
The disclaimer when you post says:
Please: NO profanity, NO personal attacks, NO racism or violence in posts.
John, you hide this message now. If you hit post and click the bypass previewing button, it will never appear. Is this intentional?

Dude, where can I sign this guy up for more advertisements?
To: anka
I've just gone back to re-read your post, to see if you had
adequately attributed it to others. I didn't think so then--it looked to me that you referred to the other post but then added the part I objected to yourself.
However, I am unable to review it, because the Moderator agreed with me and removed it.
I would suggest, friend, that you take enough care to avoid even the remotest possibility that something that provocative not be misconstrued. You failed to do that and discovered the consequence.
I don't normally lecture others this way, but I'm feeling generous tonight for reasons that have absolutely nothing to do with you.

Yeah, well, Dude, checking out you're **Wowie!screen*name*, Dude, I assume you are feeling no pain, Man. So you might go back top side and take a few deep breaths. Wow! Time to stabilize the senses, man ... Then go back to the top of this post and hit the 'Click Here for More Laughs' Link and then scroll down a ways ... and you may find this nasty Dude's name, address and etc. posted, then you can do your thing, Dude.

Get a life. Or learn what sarcasm is. But then you'd make a good snitch for the JBTs... maybe that's your calling in life.

While I wouldn't advocate violence against him, if this low-life is sending out porno-spam then he deserves whatever he gets!
To: Hebrews 11:6
believe me, friend, your 'lecture' means absolutely nill over here.
considering that I began my post as such:
"By far the funniest comment from slashdot:"
I think that for _most_ semi-intelligent beings the attribution was adequate.
as far as i'm concerned, it is dropped.
out of curiosity, what 'authorities' did you 'turn me in' to?
just want to be prepared and have references available incase i get a christmas greeting from our friends in the fed
merry christmas.

Misspellings will usually be delivered too: Rallski, Rallsky, Rhalski, etc.
To: ex-Texan
One can go to www.google.com and type in "Alan Ralsky" to see how much attention the fellow is getting.
Spammers are lower than televangelists and lawyers.

Given the particular spams..Oh, OK, I do not really advocate violence.
But were something bad to happen to him and his kind, there would be little sympathy, and not a few celebrations.
To: altair
I know you're not the only one on this forum who does it, but sometimes I'm real, real glad I'm half way across the world from some of you. I am sorry to have upset you, but that post was substantially no different from the advocation that Hollywood Star made regarding his proposed treatment of Kenneth Starr, and that was broadcast on all the major networks.
There are usenet newsgroups where that post would have been considered, if not words of love, to be hilariously funny.
I hope you never encounter them.

Get his address at spamblocked.com
BTW, his wife's name is Renee Ralsky, incresing the target richness of this particular environment.
