Sounds like the guy missed his calling by about half a century; he should have been Hitler's minister of science."Judge, and prepare to be judged."

[This ping list for the evolution -- not creationism -- side of evolution threads, and sometimes for other science topics. If you want to be included, or dropped, let me know.]
To: jennyp
"The board made a clear statement and said 'no' to pseudo-science," Well I'm releaved. That ought to remove any ID or creationism from the classroom.
I used to support Christians, because I think the lifestyle of most of the Southern Baptists I grew up with is superior. But this argument about creationism, which I was taught in church to be inaccurate, has hardened me against christians in general. Mainly because of the bull-headedness and un-Christlike attitude of many ID and creationism supporters.
I just wonder how Christians would like it if "criticisims of religion", like criticisims of evolution, were taught in school. It's easy to come up with bogus arguments against things. The flat-earth people have some pretty good arguments that can convince someone who doesn't know much about the subject.

Your links are all busted, except for the one to your page. Are there specific criticisms of evolution being required?

I'll never let my kids go to a government school.
Well, I let them use the soccer field and playground.
Just so long as they pay the teachers and administrators no attention whatsoever.
To: jennyp
the whole point of government schools is to teach kids evolution, condoms, the dangers of global warming, etc. If kids aren't learning evolution then how can we expect them to be liberals in the future??

If kids aren't learning evolution then how can we expect them to be liberals in the future?? I've been participating in these evolution threads for more than three years, and I pretty much know the people on the evolution side. Not one is a liberal. How do you account for that? Do you think it's possible -- maybe -- that your beliefs about evolution are wrong?
To: arielb
Evolution is a left wing conspiracy! Wow, thanks for the heads up. Did you know those evil liberals have infiltrated every discipline of biological science? I feel like such a fool!
To: Youngblood
Evolution is a left wing conspiracy! It's amazingly dumb. If I were inclined to apply evolution to politics -- which is a goofy idea -- I don't think I could make it jibe with the welfare state. But let the creos make their wild accusations. It only reinforces the perception that they don't do too well in the abstract reasoning department.
To: Youngblood
just as they have infiltrated environmental science.
The fact is that most liberals believe in evolution. That's why Gore and ACLU are on your side instead of Bush. They are afraid of any measure that encourages private and homeschooling because they can't impose their evolutionary theory on children who leave the public schools.

I homeschool and my children will be and have been taught evolutiong since day one, not that it is fantasy, not that it is disproven or whatever. They are taught the TRUTH, it is a scientific theory that is being added to every day and is as close to the true facts as can be put together at this time.
I am not antireligious by any stretch, just call me A-Religious.
Science has a place, and religious mythology has it's place. Science in a classroom, whether at home or in a public school. Religion in church.
My children will also grow up to be conservative, just as I have.

The fact is that most liberals believe in evolution. That's why Gore and ACLU are on your side instead of Bush. Nobody who believes in God could conduct themselves the way Klinton and many of the democrats do.
