Then how do you justify incarceration? Liberty is not a right, and can be taken away if judged to be guilty of a crime..

As far as incarceration, once the time has been served, a person is released. To permanently bar that person from exercising his or her rights after the original sentence has been fulfilled amounts to double jeopardy..

Yes, It Is.
And regarding your other statement, what about life imprisonment, or the death penalty? What use is it to say that a person is at liberty to go about his business, after the sentence has been served in full?
