Last night is not pre-election.

Whose 'humble birth announced by angels brought hope to a weary world?'

The President bows to the name of JESUS. Do you?

That is really nice and I am happy..that gives me reason to smile..Thanks..

Yes I want to hear His name said publically...It would have been nice if He had said simply this is the time we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. He is more than just a hope...but I am happy he did that much

Sorry I missed it..

Your statements on this thread certainly sound like a litmus test. You are seeking prescribed words.

I am seeking equal time with the heathan god allah ..either NO one gets a mention or every one is

Btw your knee will bow someday too..AT HIS NAME

Oh no...you're not gonna make me feel guilty...not with my Christmas gift collection of Ginzu Knives, Chia Pets and Ronco ashtrays...The "straw" was the Salad Shooter...(I guessed it when he asked me the day before Christmas if we "had any fresh veggies in the fridge"?..)

Wait till the kids are out of the house, then it will be YOUR turn:~)

Merry Christmas, HM...sw

Well, President Bush has made it very clear that he is EVERYONE's president. (remember, he's a uniter not a divider. ;-D) He's not out to convert everyone or tell them his beliefs. As President of the United States, it is his job to be president to everyone---and to encourage everyone's beliefs if they are good, and if they aren't, at least to ensure them equal protection. THAT is what he put his hand on the Bible and swore to that glorious day.

I also think he really can't stand up and give his "testimony" as it was as president because that is only going to give the left wing more ammunition. I mean, really--can you imagine if he stood up and started talking about Christ's birth, etc etc? He is already taking a LOT of heat for this faith-based initiatives. And he has made it clear to those of us that care what his true faith is. I think he has struck the right tone----inclusivity. We are a country of many religions--I mean, if I had a president that was Muslim or Jewish, or Buddist or ANY other religion than my own, I would not feel comfortable if he emphasized his religion over any other. I think that is how President Bush feels--PLUS he also has a heart that loves all these people--the last thing he is going to want to do is alienate people. NOt only as a politician, but also as a Christian. I have a TON of friends that are not saved, and instead of preaching to them, I love them. Then, if I am practicing my beliefs as I should be, they will say "what is different about you?" I have had people say this--and THEN you can say "Jesus Christ is what makes me different." See what I mean? If you alienate everyone you never get close enough to them to show them God's love, as well as it can be shown through our human state.

President Bush is doing that one person at a time. the more people meet him, the more they start to find out what makes him tick. And when they find out it's Jesus, they will know from FIRST HAND experience that he has a love in his eyes and will be even more of a witness than anything he could print in a christmas card or say in a speech.

Plus, he has us to tell others of his example. ;-)

You're NOT a happy man. That is obvious, and that is the point I was trying to make. Joy is found through Jesus Christ, and ONLY through Jesus Christ. I pray you find HIM some day

Jesus makes a good whip, doesn't He?

That was when he was looking for the votes of the christian base...

I really have to disagree. This kind of statement from a political candidate is seen as a firebrand. He took a lot of heat from his own party for the statement--a lot of people dont' want to be publically acknowleding christ because they think it will alienate all the non-christian, but still conservative (fiscally, etc) members of the party.

He doesn't say either way but I suspect he knows if we bow down to the racist dims we will never get this issue of the GOP being called racist off the table.

Instead it will happen to the next gop person and against the right as he played many of the rats bs clips about this issue.

He Said Gore is having a press con at 3????

He is in a difficult position..I have never denied this..I have just looked for an acknowlegment of the fact this is still a Christian nation...diverse yes..tolerant yes...but still a nation that sees Christ in Christmas ...we are warned in scripture

Mat 10:33 But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

I believe that is true of nations too..

Do you ever wonder if you drive seekers away with your attitude?

You might ponder that point for a bit.

I don't think that is the President's job. If you want to know what kind of nation we are, then talk to your neighbors and people in your community.

I got 2 White Christmas cards this year and I love them. I can't understand all the criticism either.

This year's card is the second time in the history of WH cards that the Bible has been quoted.

The painting is of a WH scene.....I don't understand why it bothers some Freepers so much.....we all know what is in the President's heart & soul....Jesus Christ is the Guiding Light of his life and he has told the entire world of his devotion to his Faith!

Do you know that in England young people do not know what Christmas is? They are now a complete secular country ripe for an Islamic takeover

It is the presidents job to treat all Americans with equal hands..he has kissed up to the Muslims and tried to make up with the Jews for his own politidcal purposes..BUT he had best decide to give Jesus a nod once in a while or God will make sure he does..
