Here is an excerpt from Charge to Keep, where he talks about his faith. although it is not credited as such. I am unsure what pages it is on as I am at work and away from my copy of the book.

I was humbled to learn that God sent His Son to die for a sinner like me. I was comforted to know that through the Son, I could find God's amazing grace, a grace that crosses every border, every barrier and is open to everyone. Through the love of Christ's life, I could understand the life changing powers of faith.

The whole excerpt is here:

I hope this makes you feel better Rnmomof7

It is true Jesus is hated even in this Country.
Jesus himself is not hated by very many people. The actions of some of his alleged followers are what is questionable.

Catholics and Baptists should be as suspicious as Jews of any government embracement of specific religions. Both were persecuted in Colonial times, and even later. Indeed, as recently as the Texas football prayer case (Doe v. Santa Fe ISD), Catholics joined Mormons to file suit against a governmental body promoting one religion at the expense of theirs (and the plaintiffs felt the need to remain anonymous).

They asked what philosopher had the most influence on his life he said -out loud--"Christ, because he changed my life."

That was when he was looking for the votes of the christian base...and BTW the Jews and Muslims and even athesists might well agre with him on that..a very safe statement. Not God a philosopher. .Jesus is God my Lord and Saviour I can say it out loud...but He has not , since elected ,proclaimed any faith in Jesus or more troubling even mentioned His name as the reason for Christmas..It is a "Happy Holiday" at the White house as near as I can see..he prays with the Muslims and the Jewish community on their religious holy days.....He read a book on how kind Allah is last year to Muslim kids...but not one word spoken out loud of Jesus Christ..

Anyone who belittles Psalms as meaningless or 'neutral' is so ignorant of God's Word that he/she is not likely even a believer. Is that what your problem is?

If you don't think our President is a Christian, you have read nothing he has said about his faith, and heard nothing he has said either, and my guess is, have not prayed for the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth about him, and direct your prayers for him.

Read his book "A Charge to Keep." Read the online testimony of a man who witnessed to him and prayed with him when he came to the Lord (www.blessitt.com). Listen to the words of people who have known him before and after his conversion to Christ. Look at the transformation in his life after Jesus Christ 'changed his heart.'

Listen to his words at the lighting of the Christmas tree and at the Christmas in Washington celebrations, and you'll hear the truth.

Or do you not want to know the truth about the President?? You'd have to give up your pettiness and hatred of the man, then, wouldn't you? Your phony (and purely political) outrage at this Whitehouse card is so transparent that it's funny!

What a sorry JOKE the gripers on this thread are!

I have read his written testimony as well as his Christmas proclamations..they are wonderful...my issue is with the public display of an agreement or acceptance of other faiths but No Christian references to Christmas and Easter..Christmas is simply a retailers hoilday ...looking for a little of Jesus from the MOUTH (not pen) of the President..A nice White House concert of religious music or reading the nativity story to some Catholic school kids in Washington...something to mark the time as a religious holiday for millions.....but that is not PC till the election season..

You haven't been listening Mom. Pay attention. He's saying it. You're ignoring it, and no amount of evidence will alter your politically motivated point of view.

homeschool........the truth isn't going to make a difference with this one. Don't waste your energy.

Yep. He has said so on many occasions. The best was when Helen Thomas asked him if he is a secular President and he said right away, 'YES.'

The psalms are not uniquely Christian they are Jewish in tradition...although a Christian looking back sees Christ..they are " safe " words but they do not proclaim the birth of Jesus Christ ..a religious event for millions of Americans..

Please produce the tree lighting words ...or the egg roll words..I would like to see if I missed the name of Jesus said from the lips of our Christian President

You're a cynic. Merry Christmas.

May the JOY of the LORD, that is shared by my brother in Christ, the President of the United States, be some day be YOURS as well.

(And if you want the specifics, go back in this thread and find all the many places they've been given to you.)

I have been listening..I suspect that you hear what you choose to hear...Prove me wrong..produce one Public speech since he has been elected where he says the name of Jesus Christ...one Christmas speech, one Easter speech anything..

homeschool........the truth isn't going to make a difference with this one. Don't waste your energy.

The problem is there is none I suspect

Don't forget to mention what a great Christian you are compared to all those "JOKES" who don't agree with you.
