I was pleased to receive mine, also. One wonders what it would take to make this bunch happy. (Maybe they just didn't get one and they're mad?)

And then you wonder why it is so hard to get the Jew's vote....

All I am saying is Jesus Christ is the reason for Christmas, which is a celebration of his birth and there is no mention of it on the "Holiday Card" which I find offensive. Do you think he was trying to send his warmest wishes to his Jewish voters as well? Or would you have preferred they sent out to batches of cards, one Christmas and one Chanukah?

No, probably wanted a big ole' picture of Mary on the front of the card.

Yea, and we can honor an FDR Piano in the white house on a CHRISTmas Card sent by President Bush.

No. I was Dubya's county chair when he ran for governor and I'm active in the GOP.
I'm nobody important. If you've ever been in a room with a Bush, you feel important.
Barbara and GHWB were at my precinct meetings in Houston years ago and I wish I had paid more attention. But I was very young at the time and nobody had a clue what the future would bring.

Christmas is a National Holiday just like Thanksgiving and Independence Day, celebrated by all. So, everyone, even atheists, can receive a Christmas card without being offended. And I thought only liberals were the ones on the pity pot by always being offended. Have a Merry Christmas.

So, what you're saying is, we should nix this design and go with the strictly Catholic thing - LOL:

All 5 are pro abortion. You can say what you want. The newspaper article was written to highlight a former congressman from the area and did not touch on the abortion issue which was obvious to me, I guess not to you or lonestar and the others on the thread. As I stated previously, these men have records, and are well know for being pro abortion.
Bush made a grave mistake to write off NJ (Remember he lost the popular vote) and to support the unborn. It may be a liberal state but there are many pro lifers here.

I was too young to relize that the PC ilk were raping me out of my Christmas vacation and handing me "winter break". If I only relized it at the time, I would have screemed bloodly murder.

I saw no judgment on post 14, it was an opinion about a secular card sent by someone who stated on national television that Jesus was the most influential person in his life.
Your posts seem to be very judgmental on ny catholic. Why the animosity? You sound like the Democrats during the Clinton Impeachment trials.

Isn't Christmas a Christian holiday? Last I checked it was. It isnt a Christmas card. Its a holiday season card for anyone who may or may not be a follower in any particular faith. I agree with this card. Bush is a God fearing man and im sure sent his personal cards to his friends that say Merry Christmas. Bush is not some atheist trying to rip God or Christ from our society by sending a "holiday" card.
To: Coleus
I do not celebrate Christmas, I celebrated Chanukah. I know it is a dream of Catholics to see the RCC declared as the only "acceptable" faith in this country, but it ain't going to happen.
