Celebrities to Send Bush Anti-War Letter

LOS ANGELES (AP)--Mike Farrell and Anjelica Huston will release a letter Tuesday signed by a hundred celebrities who want President Bush to stop his war rhetoric toward Iraq.

The letter reportedly is signed by stars including Kim Basinger, Matt Damon, Laurence Fishburne, Ethan Hawke, Uma Thurman, Samuel L. Jackson, Jessica Lange and Martin Sheen, publicists for the event said Monday.

Details of the letter weren't released.

Bush has threatened military force against Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein, saying the dictator has amassed weapons of mass destruction that pose a danger to the United States.

United Nations weapons inspectors are searching the Middle Eastern country for such devices but have turned up little so far.

Farrell, who plays a veterinarian on the NBC drama ``Providence,'' previously compiled a celebrity-endorsed letter in June asking U.S. senators to vote against a plan to bury the nation's nuclear power waste at Nevada's Yucca Mountain.

Co-signers of that letter included Alec Baldwin and Tim Robbins, Rob Reiner, Barbra Streisand and Harry Belafonte.

On July 9, senators voted 60-39 in favor of the Yucca Mountain project.

Cool - buy more guns!

Ever wonder if these jerks even thought about (for a single second) sending a letter to Saddam to tell him to stop killing his own people, his own son, and inciting Kuwaiti people to violence against Americans with his 'war talk'? No....it's always about blaming America. They are so fortunate to have someone protecting their candybutts, so they can live free enough to send such stupid letters.

All these people are going to do is end up hurting their own value at the box office. Bush won't pay a bit of attention to the letter, and neither will 90% of the rest of America.

Goodie, more human "shields" to go to Iraq with those Canadian idiots. All we have to do is talk them into going.

Or we could provide them the experience, right in Hollywood, of living in Iraq under Saddam. How many freepers are willing to go in on a vat of acid and a winch?

I can kind of understand the MacCarthy era of the '30's and '40's after all this. What can we do as the public to show our unappreciation to these overpaid and underworked people, besides boycotting their movies and products?

Pres. Bush should send war letter to anti-celebrities! Just my humble opinion, I know President Bush is above stoooping tho that level.

Remember the days when celebrities would get together and go to the war zones and entertain the troops. Too bad Bob Hope is not able to that these days. These ignorant celebrities could learn a thing or two from people like him. But I guess there is a difference, Bob Hope actually had talent in making people laugh!

You know, I actually like it when the Hollywood idiots do this- it outs them once and for all and allows me to make a better-informed decision on where to spend my movie-going dollars.

This should have been the threads headling:

Due to the educational level of the average Hollywood elite, it has taken a hundred of them to put together a letter with the correct spelling and somewhat coherent thought to send to the President.
The use of letters cut out of magazines was discouraged by those who had made it through the 10th grade. However crayons were allowed.

President Bush Reply to Celebrities:

Dear Celebrities:
as you may know anyone outside your profession that takes the identity of someone else in order to make profit is called a felon. Considering the fact that none of you have any real formal education or logical thought process, I have decided to ignore this letter in hopes that you will get some education, contemplate the errors you have made in judgement and continue your work in the restaurants and retail outlets here in the United States as I sure you will be without work either now or in the near future because the rest of this great nation is tired of you opening your mouth when you have nothing important to say.
Sincerely

.....

Thank You very much.... I will not watch/pay/or support anyone on this list from this day forward. And the first time I see one of these perform/talk at one of our major events like Superbowl or Nascar or anything I will climb down the throat of the person that hired them. Did anyone else see the posting a few weeks back in USA today? where some guy said our Soldiers were not heros and he stated that Iraq's were the true heros, I could not beleive "USA" today would post that. Maybe they should change there name!
Needless to say I will never purchase or accept that newspaper again. I wrote a letter to the editor expressing my feelings but the coward didn't reply.. If anyone wants to see that editoral I could paste it here?

Thanks Again and if anyone here ever needs help from a True American I am here for you!!!!!
